Building new infrastructure is one element of a larger ecosystem. Ensuring that it continues to serve citizens safely and reliably requires a long-term commitment to inspection and maintenance.
As our CEO Chris Campbell highlighted in an interview with Masego Rahlaga on @eNCA's 'SA Morning Show' today, infrastructure must be managed throughout its lifecycle to ensure it continues to function for decades to come.
Sustainable service delivery depends not only on the infrastructure we build today, but also on how we maintain and manage it for the future.

Our CESA Youth Best Practice Webinar, held yesterday, brought young professionals together for an engaging discussion on career growth, mentorship and navigating the engineering profession.
The session was facilitated by Tsholofetso Manana, Professional Engineer at Jones & Wagener, with speakers Omaira Jajbhay, Professional Electrical Engineer at Zutari and Dr. Mpho Motsa, Professional Engineer and Structural & Bridge Engineer at MPAMOT
Omaira emphasised: “Rejection is redirection. Do not give up.” Drawing on her own experiences, she encouraged young professionals to remain resilient, be authentic in job interviews, embrace teamwork and recognise the value of mentorship throughout their careers.
Dr. Motsa said: “Always be willing to learn and never become too comfortable with what you already know.” He encouraged young engineers to broaden their experience by understanding how projects are managed and delivered, and to develop leadership skills alongside their technical expertise.
Tsholofetso reinforced the importance of continuous growth, encouraging young professionals to explore opportunities, learn from others and recognise that leadership is a journey. The message from the webinar was clear: keep learning, embrace new challenges and help build not just your career but the next generation of engineering leaders.
