It was a pleasure to speak at @ICR_London ‘s Parliamentary Reception this morning to support #DefeatingCancer. Thank you to Christine @CERINOC for sharing how ongoing research helps her live with Breast Cancer, highlighting its importance in tackling the UKs biggest challenges.
Thanks @RobMontfort for explaining this so clearly.
Dr @robmontfort's team work to visualise #Cancer proteins so they can investigate binding between proteins and new potential drugs.
Here, they show the #BreastCancer protein target, NPS1, embedded with an inhibitor.

ALT An infographic stating that, 'Cancer trial recruitment drops by 60 per cent during Covid-19 pandemic. Recruitment to cancer clinical trials dropped by nearly 60 per cent over the first year of the pandemic. Without rapid action, we could see new treatments for cancer delayed by years. We need urgent investment in Covid-19 recovery for cancer trials and to address existing barriers to access'.
Delighted to announce that One More City has reached a major milestone - we have raised over £120,000 which will allow @ICR_London to recruit a PhD student in 2022 researching secondary breast cancer. Thanks to all our supporters. @NatrajanLabICR @simakali1 #Stage4needsmore

I want EVERY cancer patient to read this article. I want them to know that it’s not their fault. They shouldn’t blame themselves for not finding it earlier. We need more money for #stage4 research. Please RT and share #bekindtoyourself dailymail.co.uk/health/artic…

It needs to be clarified that sadly, #SarahHarding died from Secondary (metastatic) Breast Cancer which has no cure and is terminal.
Every day 31 patients in the UK die from Secondary Breast Cancer.
Primary Breast Cancer is not terminal.
As a proud Trustee of the @TheQNI and a cyclist I love this. Well done @hattierocket !
More coverage of the bikes used in #dorset #communitynursing a huge thank you to @DorsetHealth and @TheQNI for believing we could make this happen…. We did! bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/1…
