Just back from a 14 day long couple’s Europe trip that covered Spain, Italy and Switzerland 🇪🇸🇮🇹🇨🇭 The flights were booked in business class and hotels were a mix of luxury and budget options. Very high level breakdown of the numbers: Amex MR points burnt: 5,19,000 Axis Atlas Edge Miles burnt: 1,59,750 Out of pocket cost: ~INR 3,50,000 Details of all the redemptions and costs dropping soon 👀. Follow along if you are someone who’s looking to optimise their points stash and keeping the out of pocket cost relatively low.

Night 12: Interlaken 🏨 Hotel Royal St. Georges Interlaken, MGallery ⭐️ 5/5 💰 Rs 46,200 value, paid with 20K Accor points + Rs 2,200 Great location, easy to reach from both Interlaken Ost and West. The hotel takes you back in time in Switzerland. 🏔️ Best upgrade I've got till now: Royal Suite worth more than 1.3L for a night, thanks to All Gold. The balcony has mountain views, and I felt like a king, ready to bark orders at the folks below. 😂 Great stay.

Night 13: Geneva 🏨 ibis Geneve Petit Lancy ⭐️ 4/5 💰 Rs 15,800 value, paid with 6K Accor points + Rs 2,300 Last night in Switzerland and of the trip. Just needed a place to spend the late evening and night before the flight back to Delhi. ✈️ 4/5 because the price was decent and the room was quite good by ibis standards.
