Yesterday, we proudly kicked off our inaugural Leadership and Wellness Academy, a transformative space dedicated to healing, growth, and advocacy. With the support of the @DHCS_CA and administration by @SHFCalifornia , this initiative empowers leaders to prioritize mental well-being while driving change in their communities. A huge thank you to Kelechi Ubozoh for her courage, resilience, and powerful storytelling during our first session. Her bravery in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health is truly inspiring. 💙 💬 "Most victims of suicide looked tortured, but I was always smiling." – Kelechi Ubozoh This discussion reminded us that healing our mind, body, and soul is a journey with many pathways. CBHA and @CAC_Updates are honored to create a space where leaders can learn, grow, and thrive.

I am proud to announce my introduction of AB 641! This bill would create a public awareness program to address the stigma surrounding drug-induced movement disorders caused by antipsychotic medications — conditions that can be pervasive, debilitating, and irreversible.

Happy #Juneteenth! Today, we celebrate freedom and resilience. However, we’d be remiss if we didn’t recognize that inequities still exist. #CBHA will honor this day by amplifying Black voices, and educating ourselves on history. ❤️💛💚
