It's time for a new raffle of retro games. I went through my collection again and found some duplicates. And though it still hurts a little to give a game away, the thought of making someone else happy to get a game that they like outweighs that. The games are (from the top, left to right): Powermonger (Amiga), Sword of Excalibur (Amiga), Street Fighter (Atari ST), Pool of Radiance (C64), Heroes of Might and Magic V (PC), Eye of the Beholder (Amiga), King's Quest IV (Atari ST), Foundations Waste (Atari ST), Gold of the Realm (Atari ST), Starfight 2 (PC), Secrets of the Silver Blades (Amiga), Wizardry VI (Amiga), Elite (C64), Gyruss (C64, Cartridge), Windwalker (PC), Black Crypt (Amiga), Civilization IV (PC), Arkanoid II (C64), King's Quest III (Atari ST), Operation Wolf (Amiga) and King's Quest I (Atari ST). Simple rules to be part of the raffle. 1) Post the name of the game you want to have in the comments. 2) Share this post (thank you!) 3) Check out my Quiz Project (link in my bio) and play ANY of the Quizzes. Note: Looks much nicer on a regular computer screen, less fun on a mobile device screen. That's it, you are part of the raffle! In 3 days from now (10th of October) I will draw a random person from the group. I will post a video of the draw here. The winner will get the game of their choice, regardless of whether other people picked that game too or not. Good luck, and thanks again for sharing the retro love! #retro #retrogames

🎯 40 years ago today — 18th August 1985 — Hyper Sports landed on the C64 in a cracking Konami conversion.🏅 Fast, fluid, and joystick-busting, it brought Olympic thrills home with events like skeet shooting, vault & swimming. Still gold medal stuff! #C64 #HyperSports #Konami

🎉 On this day in 1982, the Commodore 64 hit store shelves — and gaming history changed forever. With legendary sound, 16-colour graphics & an affordable price, it brought arcade-quality games to the masses and inspired a generation of coders. 💾👾 Happy 43rd, #C64! 🕹️

Many thanks to @C64Reloaded for sending me one of his awesome arcade calendars - as he has done for several years now. It's great and always very much appreciated. It passed inspection by my chumbalinos, Beano and Dandy and will be going up on my office wall after Xmas.

Gamebase64 is an extremely important archive for the #Commodore64 , but is now at huge risk of losing its online presence due to the tragic loss of webmaster Steven Feurer. Please check our post for more details - but can anyone help or spread the word? gamesthatwerent.com/2023/09/…

A lovely end to the week. Had a reply back from the woman in the photo. A teenage holiday romance captured in the 80s and she was very happy to see the photo again after all these years. Now about to post up this weekend and re-unite.
One of the things I love about preservation work, is when something can reveal itself after many years of being hidden. This photo was found tucked away behind the inlay, probably been there for almost 40 years. A name and address was on the back, so we're hoping to re-unite it.
