It's weird how the new ED/Management started at @bronxdefenders not even two years ago and in that time they have forced @BxDUnion to go on strike TWICE. Anyone else think that is weird? From my POV and experience, it's giving union busting, as in, explicitly hired to union bust.

Hear me out. You deserve a government that invests in 👉🏿 you. My name is Conrad Blackburn. I am running for Assembly in Harlem to bring the power back to the people. I’ll be outside on the corner of 125th and Lenox—every Saturday. We outside. Link 🔗 in bio to donate.
We remain steadfast in supporting targeted members. But this week @bronxdefenders appeared to block worker-mgmt comms by rejecting solidarity emails in support of targeted workers like Sophia, whose arbitration remains ongoing ~7 months after she was unjustly fired. (1/2)
Solidarity isn’t symbolic—it should never be silenced or blocked. Share in the replies new ways to communicate with the BxD “Leadership Team”* in support of terminated workers!

can confirm not only was @ConradforHarlem essential in first organizing @BxDUnion, but he is responsible for organizing me into the union drive way back when. We then both served on BxD Union exec board. Love the guy, he’s a good man and I hope people pull up for him and Harlem.
“From organizing his coworkers to found @BxDUnion in @alaa2325, to serving on his shop’s executive board, to now running for State Assembly, @ConradforHarlem embodies UAW values. We can't wait for another fighter for justice to fight with us in Albany.”

The City Council staff union is gathering with other unions to call for council members to not lay off or dismiss staff during a reorganization period coming up in January.
CM Tiffany Cabán just swung by to speak in support of their call

Conrad is a public defender, a @UAW member-leader, & a committed fighter for the working class.

This week in NYC, @reprorightsuni & @alaa2325 members at the Center for Reproductive Rights will rally for a fair contract on Wednesday—and @BxDUnion members will picket against unfair discipline in the Bronx on Friday. Join them!
The Bx Times covered Sophia’s wrongful termination. The truth is clear: this is a violent act of intimidation against workers and the communities we represent, and part of a pattern of targeting BxD workers for unjust discipline & termination. Read more @ bxtimes.com/bronx-defenders-…
