I’ve been developing the script for DOUG for a long time.
With several large projects currently in heavy production, this concept was at risk of gathering dust in the archives. Instead of letting that happen, I decided to finally bring this gritty, mixed-media noir world to life as a proof-of-concept teaser.
Everything you see here was generated using Seedance 2.0 to lock in the exact visual tone, lighting, and camera movement I envision for the final film.
FLUX 3 image is released!!!
Introducing FLUX 3 Image.
Control every pixel.
Make precise multi-turn edits without changing any other pixel.
Lay out the image exactly how you want using bounding boxes.
Generate in up to 4K to preserve details.
Use up to 10 references to compose an image.
Commercial Weights available for companies running image generation at scale.
Open Weights version of FLUX 3 Image is launching in the coming weeks.
Genius!
A former child star hides in a video store. At midnight, his biggest fan finds him.
Most people use gen AI for spectacle. The impossible camera moves, the things you can't shoot in real life. I get it.
But with this one, I kinda just wanted the film to live or die on faces.
Turns out that's the hardest thing I've thrown at Seedance 2. The prompts had to be super dense. Every micro-expression written out, every gesture, every half-second where a face flips from delight to grief to stillness. But there's a limit. If you pack in too much, the model gets overwhelmed and starts hallucinating on every single run. So the whole process was a balancing act. Enough detail to get a real performance, but not so much that the visual falls apart. One character talks a mile a minute, and the other is suppressed, holding everything in.
But honestly, the film is for everyone who feels like they peaked a little early. The ones who found some success when they were young, and then watched people take from them, and take, and take, until there was nothing left. Until the thing you loved became the thing that emptied you. It's for the ones who need a little encouragement to get back up. So be nicer to yourself. It's okay to take breaks. Just don't wait twenty years.
Let's gooo!!!
Seedance 2.5 is expected to launch around July 4 in the China region via Dreamina AI 🇨🇳✨
Key updates include:
• 🎬 Extended video generation length up to 30 seconds
• 🔗 Support for up to 50 multimodal references — including image, video, audio, character & style references
• ⏱️ Precise temporal control via prompt-based timestamp specification
• 🧠 Enhanced Reference-to-Video (R2V) capability, enabling learning from input/output example pairs for improved generation alignment
• 🎭 Improved temporal consistency, multi-subject interaction, motion fidelity, and editing-task responsiveness
• ⚠️ Reduced IP-generation risk and improved compliance alignment
• 🔇 Suppression of unintended subtitles and background music artifacts, with a more natural and less “AI-generated” visual output
• 🌍 Expanded multilingual generation capability: supports high-fidelity generation across global languages, including low-resource languages and regional dialects
Hope to see a broader international rollout soon 🚀
Storybook Studios turns three this year, and in that time it became the first AI-native production company in Europe.
The first AI-animated series. The first 4K AI trailer. A hybrid horror film that still unsettles me. Secret R&D for some of the biggest studios in the world, most of which I still cannot talk about.
It is a hell of a list. Here is what the list does not tell you.
None of it landed because of the tools. It landed because there were people behind it who knew what was worth making. People who could feel when a shot was technically flawless and emotionally dead, and cut it anyway.
I spent sixteen years building that instinct on real sets, long before a single frame of this was possible. Now I get to point it at what comes next.
So I am proud to say it: I am stepping up as Head of Creative at Storybook Studios.
If you are an artist, a partner, or a studio who wants to build the next chapter with us, my inbox is open.

In a town where color was outlawed three generations ago, an aging inspector finds something he cannot bring himself to report.
A new short film, built solo over several days for the @dreamina_ai AI Animation Summit at @annecyfestival 2026. It didn't make the final selection, but sharing it anyway.
Mostly gray. Mostly still. Mostly silent.
Made with @dreamina_ai AI Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana Pro, Midjourney, @ElevenLabs , and Cuelist, my own production management tool for AI animation pipelines.
Thanks to the @dreamina_ai team for the open call. Thanks to Storybook Studios!

This...is exactly where we are heading. Everyone who still denies AI will make it in the entertainment industry and not have a huge impact, just retire now or start using these tools.
Congratulations @bfl_ai

Promise GenAI Director @MetaPuppet worked with Google to build special tools in @FlowbyGoogle
Put Google Flow Tools in the hands of creatives, and what do you get? “Personalization at a global scale,” according to @MetaPuppet.
Alongside MetaPuppet, we partnered with five incredible creatives to build custom Tools for you to explore, including @poetengineer__ and @Maestasdesign.
Tools for creators, by creators. Hear their stories below:
The Cuelist response keeps blowing me away. Genuinely!
Over 150 filmmakers and studios on the early access list in just a few days, way past anything I expected.
Spent the weekend shipping. New features, smoothed-out bugs, a few things I'd been wanting to fix for weels. The door opens soon! Small first batch, then we widen.
Early access is still open if you haven't applied: cuelist.ai
Until then, here's a new spot.
Enjoy.

I made a film with AI last year. Then another. Then another.
Each one taught me the same thing: the tools are extraordinary, but there's no pipeline holding them together.
You generate shots in one tool, animate them in another, add sound somewhere else, send approvals through Slack, version-control with filenames like "FINAL_v3_REAL_actuallyfinal." Working alone is chaos. Working with a team is worse.
So I built Cuelist.
It's the production pipeline I wished existed. Script-to-Bible-to-Generation-to-Review-to-Sync, all in one place. Every shot, every approval, every version, every team member. From your script to your local drive, structured.
We're now opening early access and looking for filmmakers and studios for the public beta.
If you've been making films with AI and felt the same chaos, I'd love to have you in.
Go to cuelist.ai and apply for early access
Everyone's using AI video to blow things up.
I wanted to see if it could just… sit there.
"The Long Suffering of Earl Duggins" is a one-minute comedy scene. Two guys at a gas station. One is old and tired. The other is young, handsome, and catastrophically stupid. That's it. No VFX. No action. Just dialogue, deadpan timing, and a crooked cowboy hat.
Made entirely with Seedance 2.0. Huge thanks to the @dreamina_ai team for the Creative Partner access. I specifically wanted to push what this model can do beyond the flashy stuff. Can it hold a static two-shot? Can it land a pause? Can it make you feel the weight of a man who's simply… done?
Turns out...yeah. It can.
The best comedy has always lived in the silences. I wanted to see if AI filmmaking could live there too. Not every scene needs a camera flying through an exploding building. Sometimes the funniest shot is just a man smoking, staring at an idiot, and wondering where it all went wrong.
Gemini Canvas – Think Spatially with Gemini
I built this because linear chat threads drive me insane.
When I'm developing ideas — scripts, concepts, creative projects — I need to see the whole picture. I need to branch off, try a different angle, come back, compare. A single scrolling chat doesn't let you do that.
So I built Gemini Canvas: a Chrome extension that turns Gemini into a spatial thinking tool. Every AI response becomes a node on an infinite canvas. You can drag them around, fork conversations from any point, color-code what matters, and switch models on the fly. It's like having a whiteboard that talks back.
What's inside:
→ Infinite zoomable canvas with draggable response nodes
→ Conversation forking — branch from any node to explore alternatives
→ Color highlights, retry, copy-to-clipboard
→ Gemini 3 Flash & 3.1 Pro support
→ Everything stored locally in your browser
→ BYO API key (free tier available from Google AI Studio)
