Damnit, this was a really good source of historical images and unfortunately many of which could be found only on their site. I don't doubt AI's every day usefulness but it's also killing great sources, as well as flooding historical research with utter BS. It's frustrating...

Of course I don't want to make it sound like I'm sorry for Getty here, quite the contrary, more so the actual images that will otherwise be impossible to find. Hopefully someone brings them alive in a similar fashion to the recent ITN Frontlines project.

A leaked picture showing that the RCA received 2 refurbished Type 653 armored recovery vehicles. These ARVs came with the initial batch of 39 Type 59D MBTs that Cambodia received, but it must be noted that the Type 653 is built using the Type 69-II's hull. For those wondering what the Type 59's ARV variant is called, it is the Type 73.
