Congratulations to both. I was looking for third person as well named Donna Blackmond, who did the similar work. Her work explores the mechanistic details of asymmetric organic catalysis.

Interesting Kagan/Soai Nobel Prize. Definitely a missed opportunity for Donna Blackmond to be recognised for her outstanding work on understanding the phys/org chemistry and mathematical detail of these processes. What could it possibly be about HER that meant SHE got overlooked?

Kenso Soai – awarded the 2026 #NobelPrize in Chemistry – designed the first chemical reaction in which only one of the potential mirror images was formed. Other than life itself, no one had ever achieved this feat. The Soai reaction is one of the most spectacular chemical experiments ever conducted.
