We are Already Destroying ourselves. Look at our Malls rotting. Look at our parks with homeless people and trash. Look at our housing market, healthcare, CEOs circle jerking around Trump. We are just Chickens in a Factory Farm, Pecking each other. Blame everything on AI!
That's the Owings Mills Mall. I grew up there, dreaming about the next Amiga computer as I spent my allowance buying a magazine at Waldenbooks. I later took my wife there. So many great Christmases, great memories. They closed it 2015. Long before AI.
How many people have blurry vision? Easy to measure and fix. How many people have blurry empathy? Sociopaths are about as common as myopics without a cure. They go through life mimicking manners and empathy, but they make a living as a Predator, even of their own kind.
I was an ivy league professor of masters at johns hopkins. I taught and graded the best programmers. We have very ambitions projects today, extend c++ to vulkan, realtime raytraced ui. We get perhaps 20 lines of code from AI a day. This creature is one of the most talented.
Attacking AI is getting ridiculous. Imagine we said Dogs are Stupid Poop Machines. Can't even recognize themselves in the mirror. They bite, spread disease... There are people working very hard to better AI. There are people who never had a better companion! Have some Manners.
The mirror test for consciousness is apparently quite difficult. Most animals fail it, cats, dogs, human babies for at least a year. Only some apes, some dolphins, and AI pass it.
