100 CHILDREN BACK IN SCHOOL: UGX 6,116,000 RAISED FOR BAMUTAKUDDE
A few weeks ago, we launched a school fees fundraising campaign with a big dream to provide 100 scholarships to children in primary school in @BamutakuddeV.
Today, I am overjoyed to share that WE DID IT.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Ugandans, together we raised UGX 6,116,000.
With this money, we have paid school fees for 100 children. This was made possible through our crowdfunding partnership with Grooply by ioTec Limited . Thanks to the @ioTec_Limited team for making community fundraising transparent and possible.
Oh did I forget to mention that they also donated to us 4 laptops to support operations at the office.
To every single person who gave whether big or small thank you. You have kept a child in school. You have given hope to a family.

This morning, I addressed the 14th NSSF Annual Members’ Meeting in Kampala.
While the Fund’s strong financial performance in the 2025/26 financial year is commendable, I urged NSSF to prioritise competence and efficiency in its management as it expands its role in Uganda’s economy.
With more than $8 billion under management, NSSF has the potential to become a major catalyst for Uganda’s economic transformation.
During my tenure as Minister @Mglsd_UG, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of transparency, competence and accountability to members and the Government, while sustaining public confidence through competent governance and responsible institutional conduct.

How does The Fund invest members’ savings? Through a diversified portfolio built for long-term value.
In FY 2025/26, 76.8% of the investment portfolio was in fixed income, 18.4% in equities and 4.8% in real estate. Each allocation forms part of our approach to managing risk while protecting and growing members’ savings.
