How I Became A person With A disability♿️
📌I was born like any other normal child but at the age of 2 years when i was taken for immunization the doctor used an expired vaccine and he injected it into me.
📌I started feeling pain and i couldn’t walk my left leg became stagnant with growth as my right leg was growing normally, we went to Mulago Hospital for 6months plus as the doctors were trying to balance the two legs 🦵
📌But it was all in vein, we went back home but i had started crawling that’s when my daddy introduced me to using a stick to walk because i had to go school.
📌I went to Nursery,Primary,Secondary,Institute and University on my stick my daddy introduced me too till now.
📌After university Covid-19 came and since the mode of the day was about hygiene that is when i learnt how to make Liquid Soap along the way i got some challenges and thought about looking for a job in IT because that is the cause i did at campus(digital marketing) Mr @deejahn was/is mentoring in digital.
📌I applied somewhere and everything went on well but when the Human Resource got to know she was going to employ a person with a disability everything ended there, I was disappointed and asked myself why did i go to school even,
📌By then madam @fsnakazibwe was my customer i shared with her and she advised me to better stick to my business and glow it because the employment world think persons with disabilities can’t execute to the level of their companies.
📌From my conversation with her i started thinking about my fellow youth with disabilities who need helpers full time if they can’t employ me who can juggle around with out a help,for-example (those with visual impairment, hearing and some who use wheelchairs)
📌That is when i started thinking about young boys and girls with disabilities who are at the university who think that after campus we will get jobs if the employment space still has this negative attitude towards persons with disabilities.
📌I started sharing my empowerment skills with my fellow persons with disabilities and the community that believes in us and am proud that now am the Executive Director of a youth and disability led organization known as @TwezuuleF

I am deeply humbled and honoured to have been invited by @IGADsecretariat to participate in a regional meeting in Ethiopia.
As an ordinary farmer, being given a seat at a table where conversations about agriculture, food systems, gender and policy are shaping our region is something I do not take for granted.
I may be coming from the farm, but I carry the voices, experiences and realities of farmers with me.Grateful for this opportunity, and above all, grateful to God for how far He has brought me❤️

I believe in possibility, however we need to look at the fact that we are in a changing world that requires us to think outside the box it, it goes beyond the level of education one has , asking the question what major challenges do we have can i be a solution, offer a service...

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with heavy and honest hearts.
Forgive us, Lord. We wake up each morning with breath in our lungs, food on our tables, a roof over our heads and people who love us, and still we find something to complain about. We whine about what we lack and forget to thank You for what we have. We have become ungrateful children in a house full of blessings. Father, forgive us for taking Your goodness for granted.
Soften our hearts, Lord. Give us hearts that are willing to serve, hearts that notice the person who is struggling quietly, hearts that are moved to action and not just pity. Remind us that the person in need is not a stranger. They were created in Your own image, just like us.
And to all of us, I make this plea. Let us go the extra mile for those in dire need. Give what you have, even when it feels small, even when it costs you something. You may never know what one act of kindness does to restore a person's hope. But the Lord sees it, and He rewards it. He told us so Himself in Matthew 25:40: "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Today I want to celebrate a young man who reminds me why this matters. Mr. Kasozi Kulaisi [@McQuraish] faced every reason to give up. The odds were stacked against him, the challenges were real, and many in his position would have quietly walked away from their dreams. He did not. He kept going. Today he is a second year student @OfficialMubs. That is what hope looks like when someone refuses to let go of it, and when a few people choose to stand with them.
There are many more Kasozi's out there, waiting for someone to believe in them. Lord, let that someone be us.
Amen. 🙏🏽

In July, I had the joy of meeting @McQuraish, and I am deeply grateful to God that what we hoped for then has finally become a reality.
Kasozi, it has been a blessing to be part of this journey, even in this small way. I pray that this electric wheelchair makes your daily life a little easier and gives you greater freedom and independence as you continue pursuing your dreams. May God bless you abundantly, strengthen you in every season, and grant you favour in all that you do. May He continue to open doors for you and surround you with love, kindness, and opportunities.
It is my prayer that the days ahead bring you many more reasons to smile.
Wishing you nothing but the very best, brother.
The world we live in is always presenting choices. From the time you wake up to the time you get to bed.
Choices.
