AfriForum, as the largest civil rights organization in South Africa, and Minister @GaytonMcK (Gayton McKenzie), leader of the Patriotic Alliance, had a constructive discussion about @afriforum, the Solidarity Movement (@SBeweging), and @solidariteit's upcoming visit to the United States. AfriForum emphasised that the interests of the ANC should not be confused with those of the country, and that the best way to serve the interests of South Africa, all its people, and Afrikaners is to increase pressure on ANC leaders to abandon discriminatory policies and legislation, laws that threaten property rights, and a reckless foreign policy that puts South Africa in the crossfire. AfriForum’s position remains that ordinary people in the country should not be punished through the termination of AGOA and PEPFAR aid; rather, any measures taken by the U.S. should be aimed at putting pressure on ANC leaders. Minister McKenzie was also informed about the friendships AfriForum is forging locally with traditional leaders and the joint agricultural projects undertaken with rural communities. AfriForum will accelerate these projects to promote healthy relationships, mutual recognition, and respect while continuing to unapologetically fight for a place under the sun for Afrikaners at the southern tip of Africa as well as the interests of South Africa and all its people. The welcome recognition given to the irresponsible behavior of the ANC against the country and Afrikaners by President @realDonaldTrump and figures like @elonmusk is not based on a “big misunderstanding” or “misinformation,” but on real dangers that need to be addressed. This recognition and pressure from the U.S. should be used to find solutions in the interests of the country and its people.
