So now Labour Minister Pat Mcfadden says that when Labour said in its manifesto "Labour will not increase taxes on working people," what it really meant to say was "Labour will not increase some taxes on working people." They should have made that clear before the election. 1/2

'Our leaders have an opportunity to give Britain’s economy a £25bn boost' writes Brian Monteith in a great article on the @ASI report that estimates scrapping CGT will both make every family £1k better off & increase overall tax revenue. It's a radical step to restart growth 1/5

Before you read the FT article below, ask yourself if EU alignment is so great for chemical companies, why is BASF moving its chemical plants to China? As for the idea that a Veterinary agreement would increase UK agri-exports to the EU by 22%... 🙄 🤔if this were possible, why didn't we export more agri-food to the EU when we were members? Will UK agri-exports become so cheap they are competitive in the EU? Unlike when we were members? There is so much wrong with the 'Vet agreement solves everything' idea, as I explain in The Critic article below. Deconstructing the pro-EU fantasies of the FT | Catherine McBride | The Critic Magazine ft.com/content/9f37b5eb-f6a0… via @ft

You are a FRAUD. The photo is from a Farmer's Weekly story of Jan 2023 - reporting it accurately as a labelling error [bit.ly/3KtfpWh]. Resorting to lies shows you're done, bankrupt of evidence and any moral standing. Be gone now @LizWebsterSBF with your duplicity.
The dishonest labelling continues! @coopuk why are you selling German apples with labels saying they’re British with a Union Jack? British farmers work hard to produce the nation’s food and it’s bad enough that supermarkets undercut us, but to label imported food as British is nothing less than disgraceful.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Co-op already apologised for this labelling error 6 months ago. It was not a deliberate attempt to undercut farmers or mislead consumers. fwi.co.uk/news/red-tract…

What's that sorry? Red meat exports are up both by volume and by value? Oh and the EU are producing less this year too due to their crazy climate policies, so we should see even more of a boost? But what about #Brexit? Did they not get the memo?? agriland.co.uk/farming-news/…

Replying to @julianHjessop
@julianHjessop does his usual masterful job here in debunking nonsense claims that rely on misleading and highly selective data when more reliable, relevant and accurate data is available. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I was going to ignore this obviously misleading post, but it is now being widely retweeted by the the usual suspects. It is also a super example of #FBPE #Brexit 'confirmation bias'... 🙄 🧵 (1/7) #badbrexittakes #tourism

Mrs Murrell, available for selfies near you, now including picket lines...
Beware the likes of Tintin Thunberg and Mrs Murrell – One of the first politicians to hope for “life eternal” through selfies with the loopy lip-trembler, was a “Mrs Murrell, Learner Drive, Upper Uddingston, North Britain”, writes Hamish Gobson. bit.ly/3rzdeuj

In the mad, mad world of Scottish tax policy one of the maddest ideas has now emerged - a tax on campervans This is driven by the current attempts of the SNP Government to tax & over-regulate B&Bs & other forms of short-term accommodation. One daft tax leads to another Thread:
