Set up for one of David Carter’s ever-useful sourdough Q & As and demos this evening. We’ll never forget @breadmatters reminding us in the early days that our starter was “not a person that was in danger of being killed.”

For any folks missing my #LifeCommentary silliness, here's a bit you may not have found. I did it for my mates in return for their amazing veg stock which I use loads. They went on a mission to make stock that's actually veg, not just loads of salt. Maybe buy some and see 🙂 ⚽️

We have been doing this for years now, and often don’t use a recipe but if you are looking for a book @BreadMatters is the best in my view. @scotlandbread is also worth a follow. 3/3

Flour shortage? In WW2, white was banned (1942-53), National Wheatmeal was subsidised, health of the poorest improved. A small mill in Scotland now doing something similar. My blog here: bit.ly/nationalflour
