Unclear why biological ageing clocks are so popular, esp with construct validity. Many low hanging fruit in way of meaninfgul diagnostics. What is the latest testing you've had? #Longevity #ProactiveCare #BiologicalAge

Israeli airstrikes have killed atleast 182 people in Lebanon & wounded 700 more — including women, children & paramedics.
Meanwhile the government continues to sell arms to Israel that deepen the UK’s complicity in this regional war & horrific violations of international law.

Current projections estimate 153 million people will be living with dementia by 2050.
Nearly half of dementia cases could be prevented or delayed by tackling 14 risk factors starting in childhood, suggests new report from a standing Lancet Commission: buff.ly/46nvoPR

Sample size calculation in RCTs is a hoax. Trialists consider feasibility & $$$ they are likely to get from funders & make up the numbers for their calculation accordingly. There is a better way that we continue to ignore. Instead we collude in the hoax. journals.plos.org/plosmedici…

This is a blatant misrepresentation of our work science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…. Our study does not in any way suggest that the application of SPF50 sunscreen “blocks our natural defences” or is detrimental to health.
Vitamin D regulates cancer immunity via microbiome- another reason to stop using SPF 50 all year round which blocks our natural defences science.org/doi/10.1126/scie…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The linked study is a pre-clinical study based on mice alone. The suggestion that this means humans can reduce SPF use is not evidence-based, and should be read with caution.

Low carb diets continue to be very popular. Important to remember that the lipid profile can mimic familial hypercholesterolemia with very high LDL-C (and therefore total cholesterol) levels. Time to add LCHF diets to the thyroid/liver/renal/alcohol Ix with ^ lipids? #Lipids
If I had an Xmas tree I would print 3D Lipoproteins to hang on it, and maybe some caffeine and dopamine molecules.
Why doesn't this surprise me.

⚠️ WHAT is going on in the NHS?
Doctors - you have the right so say ‘F*** Off’ in these scenarios
Whist these Consultants exist, medicine will be further degraded
In any other workplace this would be an investigated for harassment/subhuman working conditions

No government anywhere has a right to commit a genocide, ever.
There is no justification for a genocide.
I can’t believe this even needs to be said or is even considered the least bit controversial to state.

“We remain convinced that the Palestinian people are at grave risk of genocide.
The time for action is now.
Israel’s allies also bear responsibility and must act now to prevent its disastrous course of action.”

While most of the attention focuses (understandably) on Gaza, it appears some Palestinians in the West Bank are also being pushed out of their homes. No Hamas there, of course, so this is harder to attribute to anything other than ethnic targeting
The entire population of the West Bank village of Zanota is moving. They say they have no choice after being harassed and threatened by Israeli settlers.
Sky's @ramsaysky speaks to people forced to move.

The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.
Evacuating a hospital would be near impossible, esp with ICU patients in the UK, let alone in a war torn area with lack of fuel and water and other resources. The intent of this threat is clear.

If the UK Government are going to monitor academics' Tweets, then demand they are taken off Advisory Committees when Govt doesn't agree with those comments - there will be a lot of empty Committees. #UKRI – at Milngavie, Scotland

Over 7,000 civilians. Over 3,000 children. And counting. Palestinian babies are being butchered in Gaza by American weapons funded with our tax dollars.
