I applaud Vermont for passing a bill to make voting by mail more accessible. A more inclusive democracy is a stronger democracy.

TRUE AFFORDABILITY means more than a one-time benefit. WEATHERIZATION delivers a lifetime of benefits—to the homeowner or renter, to the community, and to the state. This is what I plan to work on next session with a great team of Vermonters. Let's get going.#vtpoli

Thank you Bill.

Remembering Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Great story about women, equality, the ERA, empowerment, and RBG's legal acumen, not just in her jurisprudence, but in choosing how to tackle gender equity. May she rest in peace. wnycstudios.org/podcasts/rad… #vtpoli #RBG
Working hard to finish our work and help long-term forest health, while also helping our outdoor recreation industry.
Breaking: The Vermont Senate voted today to add forests protection criteria to #Act250. Thank you, Senator @Bray4VT and the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy for your leadership on this issue! #vtpoli
I plan to join you next time, but Friday I was still at work —prepping the Senate veto override for global warming — and getting Act 250 and three other bills to the governor’s desk before we adjourn. See you soon!

RBG was an inspiration. My heart may be heavy, but she would have wanted us to carry her legacy forward. That will be the true celebration of her life.

I nearly fell off the couch when @kerrywashington mentioned her 8th grade constitutional law class. I was her teacher. And so proud of her professional accomplishments and political advocacy.
So you know the 8th grade teacher @kerrywashington just mentioned opening the @DemConvention?? THAT TEACHER WAS OUR PAL, COLLEAGUE AND FOUNDER @TiffanyBluemle 👏🏽💪🏼❤️🔥🔥

There is a LOT going on in response to COVID. Here's a brief summary with links to more information. And let’s stay healthy by continuing to use the best practices we all know: masking, distancing, hand washing, and not touching your face. bit.ly/2Zezd99 #vtpoli

This movie on renewable energy and the environmental movement starts a conversation. Let's have it b/c we are failing on many environmental fronts. Thank you @MMFlint, @jeffgibbstc, @OzzieZehner
Great to hear the empathetic and intelligent voice of President Obama again. Yes. We. Can. #vtpoli
And we're going to be doing much more.

TO MOVE BEYOND FOSSIL FUELS ... we all have to stretch what we think we KNOW is true -- such as electric vehicles can only be used for smaller, lighter vehicles. Check out this massive, electric quarry dump truck. #vtpoli bit.ly/2HchG88

Replying to @AubreyNPR
@AubreyNPRFood Thank you for your piece on ozone and public health. Here in Vermont, we just required the PUC to open a proceeding to evaluate energy proposals using a full cost-benefit, full life cycle analysis, with an explicit analysis of public health impacts.

@AubreyNPRFood It took years to get this -- now we need to ensure the proceeding executes this research in a robust manner. My hypothesis is that once PH impacts are accurately assessed, that clean energy and efficiency will be shown to be more economical than fossil fuels.

@AubreyNPRFood If conserving our home planet isn't engaging and compelling enough, perhaps not poisoning ourselves will gain more traction. Not sure, but trying.
Let's continue our conversation. My email is [email protected] or [email protected]. --Christopher
