As young creatives we cut our teeth in direct marketing. We won ADMA awards. We went on to judge at their award shows. And @BrandDNA sat on the ADMA Agency Council. To learn that ADMA is no more is sad news. We'll honour its memory with a beer at lunch. adnews.com.au/news/aana-and-…

Funny how it used to be authority telling football fans how to behave. Now the roles have switched.

We’ve all seen the way that Australia came together in 05 against Uruguay, voted our greatest ever sporting moment. In 06, in Germany. In 2022, Round of 16 against Messi. In 2023, with the home World Cup, over 11 million Aussies watching the quarter final. And now, again, the Socceroos captivating the nation in 2026. Bringing us all together. Something we need more than ever. @AlboMP must surely have gotten it, by now. An investment in Australian football achievement, is an investment in Australia itself. Over to you.

Any half decent copywriter knows that an outdoor poster should have a headline no longer than eight words. Forget the attention span and simply write to grab attention. #advertising

Roy Keane on Turkey losing 2-0 to Australia national soccer team in their World Cup opener: 🗣️ “I don't want to hear excuses. Before the match, everyone was talking about Turkey as if the three points were already in the bag. Well, football doesn't care about predictions. Australia looked like a team playing for their lives. Turkey looked like a team waiting for something to happen. That's the difference. One side competed, the other side expected. What annoys me most is the attitude. You can forgive mistakes. You can forgive missed chances. But you cannot forgive a lack of urgency at a World Cup. Australia won the physical battle, the mental battle, and in key moments they won the football battle too. That's embarrassing if you're Turkey because they were supposed to be the team making the statement tonight. Some players will look at the tactics, some will blame luck, and some will point fingers elsewhere. Nonsense. Start by looking in the mirror. World Cups are not won by talent alone. The harsh reality is this: Australia arrived believing they could win. Turkey arrived believing they should win. One mindset creates history. The other creates headlines like this.”
