Something I've been thinking about for a while now is how much I enjoy getting distracted in Minecraft.
Whether it's a small unfinished part of the base or a cave that has diamonds in it, I always enjoy finding the little things that I can/need to do.
And yes I can of course expand my base or build some contraption, but sometimes I want to do something different, and the only options are either explore structures or watch wheat grow.
The only thing I miss from old caves was the fact that Strip Mining was super chill but still rewarding in those old days.
I don't even miss the caves themselves, I just miss Strip Mining for hours while rain was running down the window, Deepslate kind of ruined it for me...
I would find the 4th dimension WAYY more interesting in concept if Skulk was treated more like an aspect of the ecosystem and not this evil soul sucking mass that grows and invades everything it senses.
I built a monorail that sets the Sulfur Cube off-center of the Glass Pane underneath it, it's actually pretty convenient!
Super happy to see Pikmin 1^2 in GDQ! It's gonna be so cool to see peak-min being run at peak speeds!
As a Pikmin fan that quote terrifies me.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is "real, progressing and will release" a developer has insisted. bit.ly/4h0IqHz
I think it was a bad idea to add new special weapons to splat 3. They were under tuned and often made weapon kits not only competitively worse, but also less fun to use, and often kept the older specials from reappearing.
Reminder that Minecrafts "Fall off" lasted about 2 years because of 2 sub-par updates
And they were sub-par COMPARED to 1.14 the updates after.
Minecraft never fell off; it just had a period of smaller updates.
I think the Pale Garden is very underdeveloped right now, the visuals are lacking, and the new wood type isn't a good incentive to explore it.
I don't think I would look at Pale Garden as a creepy place to go explore, but rather as an ugly forest with "that one cool mob".
That being said I do really like The Creaking! It's got a really cool design, seems pretty fun! It's lacking a little bit of that fear factor though, I think all it needs is to be more difficult to spot. The devs suggested the mob could be used to your advantage, which is cool!
