LTN schemes are part of the #BlahBlahBlah business as usual @GretaThunberg describes. 👇🏾 LTNs do not reduce CO2 & NO2 emissions. LTNs are #greenwash, based on the idea that some people are worth more than others so have the right to clean their air by polluting the air of others.

I know I bang on about it, but since the removal of Ealing LTNs it is absolute bliss in former LTN20. Walking to the station, there’s birdsong and not a single car in either direction in 2min 20 secs. Thank you. @_petermason @deirdrecostigan @RupaHuq @VirendraSharma

Ha ha. So funny. I don’t think I’ve ever had an exchange with him. Such odd behaviour from a councillor.

Complete #fakenews. Gridlock certainly not caused by the removal of the LTN but by the diversion due to roadworks. Try harder!
Actual gridlock on a road in what was LTN21, foul air and foul tempers.

Yes, closing your side road to through-traffic may make it a little nicer for you but the cost in suffering experienced by the majority on community roads is far too high. When failed LTN trials are ended & planters removed, we see the return of pre LTN traffic.⬇️⬇️

Mental scenes on Leighton and St Kilda this morning at 09:15, a black cab driver was actually pleasant and let me pass without confrontation! Careful guys, it’s crazy out there. So much that people want to close this road and surrounding and push the handful of traffic onto mine.

Look out for low flying witches (especially with no LTN's in place on the allotment). They can be a law unto themselves. Visit the #halloween Pumpkin Trail on 30 Oct (3pm-7pm) (Photograph by Mark Kehoe) #allotmentlife #londonsoldestallotment #Ealing #northfields

What have I been saying since LTN20 was installed?! 1 of 2 Ealing LTNs to see traffic increase INTERNALLY since installation date. Go figure. Maybe I’m not just full of sh*t and an angry anti-LTN’er after all, and I actually know what I am talking about when it comes to my road?
Replying to @PoliticsEaling
West Ealing North - LTN20 NO2 levels - up 6% Traffic internal - up 2% Traffic boundary - up 16%

In reality, the council are ending the unjust #LTN trial by removing a number of 'planters' which have been used to divert traffic from side roads onto community roads where poor & people of colour are more likely to live, walk, work, learn & play. @GeorgeMonbiot @GretaThunberg
Any chance you can share this @Chris_Boardman @GeorgeMonbiot @GretaThunberg @SarahJ_Berry. Our council is about to remove a whole load of active travel infrastructure. Why? Because it's stopping some motorists.

A big thank you to OneEaling and all the work they did at keeping the pressure on the council
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 The full LTN report is out on @EalingCouncil's website Here is a screenshot of some highlights. Almost exactly 1 year after 1000s of residents marched to the Townhall, Clrs are finally starting to listen. #LTN #Ealing #suchwasteoftimeandmoney

The terrifying mindset of LTN advocates: Yes, LTNs further increase traffic, congestion & vehicle emissions on boundary & community roads but when LTNs are removed those roads are still busy, so why oppose us? Increasing your air pollution exposure shows we care.

If we are this serious about reducing both traffic and pollution then we need to keep roads flowing, focus on our network of public transport and improve drastically the e-vehicle charging network. And also be smart and logical with our Highway Code decisions.

Food for thought - I don’t get it. How does it work? What’s the strategy? The rational behind the decisions? In London the roads are getting smaller while the driving restrictions are increasing continually. It is a proven fact fossil fuel pollute and contribute to climate change

There was data from TFL that demonstrated the increase in traffic volume & congestion on Lower Boston Road outside St Mark's School. This was included in Ealing Councils CMIS report. The effect of the LTN was clear. ealing.cmis.uk.com/ealing/Do…
