My fave email sign-off ever has to be when I was working at Cambridge University Press, temporarily looking after the Sociology list. I was sorting out picture permissions for a book on Bob Marley and one of the contributors signed off every email:
One love
Given how fascinated and triggered you are by the one true church, I wonder how long it'll be before you convert. Or maybe you're just too proud, or not curious enough?
Anyway, one thing we can agree on is that we're all sinners. See you in Purgatory!

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.

The UNHCR warns against providing formula milk in these situations. It can do more harm than good.

I travelled on the underground yesterday. No graffiti on the train, no annoying announcements. A woman sat down beside me and started watching Instagram out loud. I said, “Can you use headphones please?” She said, “OK”. I said “Thankyou.”

It's been some time since we last had any religious education but this quote is unfamiliar.
One for @tomough
When reading English off the cuff
It isn’t hard to think ‘Enough! -
The problem’s not with me and you
That -ough confuses through and through."
If you’ve been trained to read, you ought
To have no issues, you’d have thought.
But then you hesitate, for how
Can ‘slough it off’ not rhyme with “Slough”?
And then there’s cough, and bough, and through,
And dough, and lots of others too.
Perhaps in time of mental drought
I’ll write a poem to spell it out.
