.@AmnestyUK is intervening in the Supreme Court appeal "For Women Scotland v Scottish Ministers."
We are intervening because legal gender recognition is a human rights issue - the existing protections must not be eroded.

If you are interested in #GlasgowHeritage and what’s happening with the ABC Cinema on #Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street and if Charles McNair’s impressive golden age of cinema entrance should be saved rather than demolished, this @ScottishCinemas thread is excellent 👇👀🤔👍!
Sad to see another Hillhead tenement vandalized with UPVC today, are there ever any penalties for the companies that happily install these ugly things? – at Glasgow, Scotland
@PaulJSweeney do the upvc companies have any responsibility to check the planning rules before doing work like this? Or is the responsibility entirely with the owner? Building is B listed
This culture war needs to end and I really hope that the next UK government improves things and properly recognizes trans people but I don't have much faith given that current labour strategy appears to be Tory appeasement

Why is what3words still a thing, can those charlatans not just hurry up and go broke already
Absolutely losing it after discovering what3words took control of the whatfreewords domain by arguing that "three" and "free" are indistinguishable when spoken.

ALT A screenshot of a paragraph from the WIPO judgement. It reads: "Complainant contends that the disputed domain name is confusingly similar to Complainant’s distinctive WHATTHREEWORDS trademark as the disputed domain name is aurally and visually similar to the WHATTHREEWORDS mark. In that regard, Complainant further contends that the terms “three” and “free” are phonetically identical and indistinguishable when enunciated."
I can't remember a time when Labour weren't the party of law and order, they let Jacqui Smith be home secretary, but they seem to just keep getting worse

Overruling democracy to fuck over trans people bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-6…
I don't see how this can be motivated by anything other than intolerance and it shows utter contempt for democracy. I look forward to seeing how the Tories attempt to justify this attack. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
UK government to block Scottish bill that makes it easier for people to change their legal gender bbc.in/3wdNm5T

The UK Government blocked #GRRBill with a section 35 order because, just like previous countries, it would show their concerns to be entirely false & strengthen the case to introduce Self ID in the rest of the UK.
The tories are attacking devolutiuon in the name of intolerance.

Absolutely horrid decision out of the United Kingdom. Scotland took steps to give trans people basic legal recognition and an easier pathway to their legal gender...
And then the UK government blocked it in an unprecedented way.
The UK is on par with Florida on LGBTQ+ rights.

Do I support the monarchy? No. But am I, like so many across the world, moved by the solemn dignity and love shown in today's state funeral proceedings? Also no
Why is What3Words still a thing
So @DCMS have a live youtube stream showing where the lying-in-state queue ends
If you're to believe the What3Words address, you should currently join the queue somewhere near Bradford
Disgraceful that @AvantiWestCoast couldn't hold their own damn train for 2 minutes. Half way across the bridge only to see my connection depart 😢
