“The only thing an old man can tell a young man is that it goes fast, real fast, and if you're not careful it's too late. Of course, the young man will never understand this truth.” - Norm Macdonald Norm Macdonald was a Canadian comedian, actor, and writer celebrated for his unmistakable deadpan delivery, clever wit, and unconventional humor. Born on October 17, 1959, in Quebec City, Canada, he gained widespread recognition during his time on Saturday Night Live from 1993 to 1998. He became particularly famous as the anchor of the show’s Weekend Update segment, where his dry commentary, unpredictable punchlines, and fearless approach to controversial subjects made him a standout figure in comedy. Beyond stand-up and television, Macdonald appeared in numerous films and published his comedic memoir, Based on a True Story, in 2016. On September 14, 2021, he passed away at age 61 after privately battling cancer for nine years. His unique comedic style, remarkable timing, and refusal to follow conventional expectations left a lasting influence on the entertainment industry, earning him a reputation as one of the most original comedians of his generation.

IT’S THE WEEKEND!! Remember when… ...$20 was enough for a fun night out at a bush party? NOW IT COSTS $20 JUST TO OPEN THE FRONT DOOR! (If someone, somehow sent me back to 1991, I would just stay.)

So Russell Brand now faces spending the rest of his life in prison. - no DNA - no forensic evidence - no video - NOTHING Just a few women who came out and was like, ‘Oh shit. Remember that time 20 years ago when Russell Brand raped me!? I’d better go report this.’ The same Russell Brand that: - Challenged the pharmaceutical industry - Attacked mainstream media - Questioned government authority - Moved toward conservative politics - Became publicly Christian I don’t believe this man raped anyone for a second. This is a SHAM. This is LAWFARE.

In the jungle of Costa Rica, guests can sleep inside a jet. Hotel Costa Verde, near Manuel Antonio National Park, offers a suite built from a 1965 Boeing 727. The plane flew for South Africa Air and Avianca before it was retired in 1990. The hotel bought it, took it apart, hauled it by truck through the jungle, and rebuilt it on a 50-foot pedestal. Inside, the cabin has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and is paneled in wood. Terraces built on the wings overlook the rainforest and the Pacific Ocean. The hotel’s restaurant also sits in an aircraft, a former cargo plane with ties to the Iran-Contra scandal.

In 1942, German submarines were sinking ships all through the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Ernest Hemingway, living in Cuba, had a plan. He fitted out his 38-foot fishing boat, the Pilar, with a radio, machine guns and grenades, and crewed it with friends, among them a jai alai player and a Cuban fisherman. The US embassy gave its approval and fuel. The idea was that a U-boat would stop the Pilar to seize its fish and water. When it did, Hemingway's crew would pull alongside and toss grenades down the conning tower hatch. They patrolled on and off for more than a year. They never engaged a submarine. His wife, the war correspondent Martha Gellhorn, was unimpressed. She suspected it was mostly an excuse to go fishing on rationed gasoline. More iconic historical photos: bit.ly/44OpIzi

🔥🚨CANADA USED AS PAWN AGAINST RUSSIA: --> MOST CANADIANS HAVE *NO IDEA* CARNEY IS DOING THIS. Russia is *NOT* our enemy. AND I AM DISGUSTED BY THIS OVERT ACT OF AGGRESSION BY NATO USING OUR TROOPS. (This is NOT routine manoeuvres. It is the first time this action has occurred by NATO. This is 100% unacceptable and Carney NEEDS to address this - TODAY!!)
