Russian aggression is not only an unacceptable violation of #Ukraine's sovereignty, but above all a huge human tragedy and the failure of humanity.
Putin is a dictator and a murderer.

Přidá se Británie znovu k EU?
Elektorát z roku 2016 už neexistuje...
📊 The 2016 Brexit electorate no longer exists.
Peter Kellner has updated the sums using YouGov and ONS data.
Since 2016:
🔹 Around 3.8m Leave voters have died, against 2.1m Remain voters.
🔹 Around 7m new voters have reached voting age, overwhelmingly pro-European.
🔹 Around 5m voters have changed their minds 👉roughly three-quarters of them moving from Leave to Rejoin.
His estimate of how Britain would vote now:
🇪🇺 REJOIN: 20.0m 👉 63%
🇬🇧 STAY OUT: 11.8m 👉 37%
A majority of almost 9 million.
Brexit happened. Britain has lived with it for a decade.
But democracy does not freeze the electorate in 2016 forever.
The question is what Britain wants now not what it indicated in 2016.

🇺🇸 #NoKingsDay Protest - Washington Square Park, New York, NY.
Ukrajinci provedli pravděpodobně první vzdušnou evakuaci raněné osoby z frontové linie na světě, a to s využitím těžkého dronu (jen to nakonec byl jiný model, než jsem sdílel v sobotu).
⛑️‼️BREAKING: Ukraine has carried out the first frontline CASEVAC mission using a heavy-lift aerial drone.
A wounded soldier of the 30th Mechanized Brigade was trapped at his position, with Russian drone activity and minefields making ground evacuation impossible. It was effectively a choice between attempting a highly dangerous and untested aerial evacuation or leaving the wounded with no viable way to rescue him.
A Ukrainian-made Gurzuf Defence heavy hexacopter, specially modified for casualty evacuation, successfully airlifted him to safety.
The operation was conducted through cooperation between Ukraine’s 92nd Assault Brigade, 30th and 14th Mechanized Brigades, 10th Army Corps.
The soldier is now recovering from his injuries.

Kdyby neměla helmu a vestu, zřejmě by izraelští teroristé ukopali Heidi Levinovou (64), novinářku The Washington Post, k smrti.
Ukrainian drone manufacturer SkyFall has shown Associated Press its new StarGate aerial medical evacuation drone, developed at the request of the 475th Assault Regiment (Code 9.2).
The drone can carry 150 kg, fly up to 15 km and reach speeds of 105 km/h. It has already been delivered to Ukrainian troops for frontline testing.
Evacuating wounded soldiers by air using drones is still a largely untested concept. Any technical failure during flight could be fatal, especially over a battlefield saturated with attack drones.
However, StarGate is designed for extreme situations where ground evacuation is impossible or every minute counts.
It’s essentially a matter of risk management: sometimes a dangerous flight may be the only chance to save a critically wounded soldier who would otherwise be left behind.

Russia is a terrorist state.
I am Czech. I am European. And I will always remember:
1939. Stalin's Soviet Union strikes a deal with Hitler's Germany. The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact is not merely a non-aggression treaty, but an agreement to divide Eastern Europe. Germany invades Poland on September 1. The Soviets join the invasion on September 17. Together, the two powers carve up Poland.
1940. The Soviet Union occupies Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania by military force and subsequently annexes them. Three independent nations disappear from the map of Europe for decades.
1940. The Soviet secret police, the NKVD, systematically murder approximately 22,000 Polish officers, police officers, and members of the intelligentsia. The Katyn massacre becomes a symbol of state-organized mass murder. Moscow denies responsibility for decades.
1945–1989. The Soviet Union brings much of Central and Eastern Europe under its control. It installs and maintains puppet regimes, crushes political opposition, orchestrates show trials, executions, imprisonment, and deportations. Millions of people in the Soviet Union itself pass through the Gulag system, which had existed long before World War II.
1956. Hungarians attempt to break free from Soviet domination. Moscow responds with tanks. The uprising is brutally crushed, thousands are killed, and hundreds of thousands flee the country.
1968. The Soviet Union leads a military invasion of Czechoslovakia. An attempt to reform socialism and build a freer society ends beneath the tracks of Soviet tanks. What follows is political repression, purges, emigration, and another 21 years of Soviet occupation troops stationed in the country.
2014. Russia militarily occupies and illegally annexes Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula. At the same time, it fuels and supports an armed conflict in the Donbas. Russia's war against Ukraine did not begin in 2022. It began eight years earlier.
2022. Russia launches a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It destroys cities, attacks civilian infrastructure, and kills civilians. Bucha, Mariupol, mass graves, torture, and the forced deportation of Ukrainian children. Another chapter in a history in which Moscow treats the independence of neighboring nations as something it has the right to decide.
Regimes change. Ideologies change. Flags and rhetoric change. What does not change is the belief that Russia has the right to determine the fate of its neighbors. And whenever one of those neighbors chooses its own path, Moscow stands ready to remind it, through military force, of its own idea of freedom.
