We are updating the Dangerous Dogs legislation. This will require that children under the age of 12 are not left unsupervised near a prohibited dog in a private or domestic setting. It will apply to all types of prohibited dogs and come into force on 1 November 2026.

I’m urging the Government to end greyhound racing in England. A dog died in commercial greyhound racing every other day last year. Cruelty is cruelty, whether organised for sport or otherwise. Scotland and Wales are stopping the sport. England must too.
