If you’re a developer and you haven’t yet tried @BlinkShell on your iPad, you need to get on it. It’s not going to replace a MacBook but you can get real dev work done on iPadOS. Not to mention the occasional remote in to fix servers from your phone. Has saved me many times.

The new "Bora Bora" environment on Apple Vision Pro is probably my new favourite. The level of detail is stunning, with the palm trees subtly moving in the wind (with matching shadows on the beach). My @BlinkShell terminal never looked so sunny, ha!

Tech war story from 2000: My ex-partner and I were invited to Apple Campus. They wanted me to take on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versio… as they rolled out the first public beta of OS X.
In the parking lot at 1 Infinite Loop, we discussed Apple's real strategy: wooing developers away from Windows and Linux with a complete stack under the hood of their forthcoming OS.
Today, I see countless developers on @X using @Apple laptops. Reminds me of that conversation.
Back then, I was a die-hard Mac user running pre-release versions of OS X on Mac G4 towers at home because I believed in the vision. Hacking Apache, Sendmail and Bind and working around bugs and shortcomings the platform.
Now, typing this on an iPad Pro, connected to a Studio Display, with @BlinkShell on one screen connected to remote servers, listening to music and catching up on social media.
Love how fast tech evolves. Grateful to have been born in the early days of personal computing and still as excited as ever about where it is going.
