The recent hardware wallet supply chain attacks are a sobering reminder that protecting your funds goes beyond just keeping your private keys safe.
One reason we built Cupcake was to give people another option for self-custody that reduces reliance on third parties. Instead of purchasing a dedicated hardware wallet, you can turn an old phone into an offline signing device and use it with Cake Wallet to manage your funds.

An executor holds and administers those assets for the people legally entitled to them. Getting that distinction wrong can create serious legal problems.

This week marks 5 years since we created the FlutterBytes Community. 🎉
What started as a small, closed mentorship group has grown into one of Africa’s largest Flutter communities.
Here’s what makes me most proud. 🧵

New York City, wetin dey sup? It was a joy to commemorate 34 years of the Nigerian Day Parade alongside the many Nigerian New Yorkers who fill our city with life.
From the entrepreneurs whose businesses strengthen our neighborhoods, to the sounds of Afrobeats pouring out of graduation parties in Southeast Queens, and the aroma of Agege bread calling out to passersby in Brooklyn — the impact of Nigerian New Yorkers is felt across the five boroughs.
Our city is richer in culture, stronger in community, and more vibrant because of your contributions.

Getting a scholarship is one of the most unreal, top-tier experiences ever.
What do you mean you’re covering my fees and even paying me to learn and get a degree.

If you love to travel and you don’t want to spend your money.
1.) Work hard and hone your niche. Become so good at it that you are being sought after.
2.) Share your progress/milestones publicly.
3.) Anytime you get the opportunity to be on stage, ensure you are unforgettable. Be prepared and back it with data.
4.) Get snippets and distribute it
5.) If nobody calls you, go to them.
6.) Make sure your work doesn’t suffer because of this. So balance is key. If you don’t have something to show, you wouldn’t be invited anyways. Protect the actual work and ensure it grows.
Once you’ve hacked this, you will be the one rejecting invites.
Sharing this from personal experience.

From understanding Lightning to making it work. ⚡
Sessions 13 & 14 of Rust for Bitcoin 2.0 took participants deeper into the Lightning Network and its role within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
With @200OKDeveloper, @megasley and @damola21mm guiding the sessions, participants explored key Lightning concepts and worked hands on with Polar, LNURL, and LUD-05, moving from understanding the technology to interacting with it in practice.
The sessions also featured practical Lightning transactions, giving participants direct experience with sending and receiving Lightning payments and a clearer understanding of how Lightning based applications work.
Two sessions of practical learning that brought participants closer to the program’s bigger goal: moving from learning Bitcoin technologies to building and contributing to the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Vik Sharma built a messaging app that sends Bitcoin privately, and the path he took to get there is fascinating.
Thank you to @JeffBooth for introducing us. Vik started building in Bitcoin after Coinbase closed his account in 2016 over a single transaction, and he's since backed a handful of Bitcoin companies including PubKey and serves as an LP at @orangejuice_btc.
We also got into why tariffs ended up making steel producers billions, and what 50 trips to China showed him about America.
New episode with @VikrantNYC out now.

Most companies give new mums 12 weeks, Dads get 2. Then you’re back to work and your baby is somewhere you can’t see, trusting someone else to tell you how their day went hours after it’s over
We spent the last year building something for that exact moment
