Rare sats, low-number inscriptions, and unique art used to spark excitement, but now the focus has shifted to short-term flipping. Collections are dumped for a little profit, and the culture of valuing creativity and rarity is fading fast.

The cultural problem that we have with Ordinals is that no one sees any value in collecting anything any more
It used to be exciting to see a collection that used high file sizes, rare sats, or interesting art on Bitcoin - but now everyone is just racing to floor everything as quickly as possible to get a $10 profit
Why would any new creators want to launch anything here at all when you pair that with a much higher deployment cost?
Not sure what the solution is but we're just going to cannibalize our ecosystem if it continues down this path

Appreciate the gesture of the proposed donation from @nodemonkes to @ordinalsorg but I believe the amount is far too high. It risks giving us at @ordinalsorg an overly centralized role, and would exceed the funding needs for our current mission of nurturing the open-source ordinals protocol.
A sustainable approach? Establishing a culture of smaller, percentage-based donations from projects with successful launches. This ensures accountability for @ordinalsorg to continually add value to the ecosystem.
For building out the wider Ordinals ecosystem, entrepreneurship and market competition is key IMO. Innovation thrives under free market dynamics, and can’t just rely on a non-profit, donation-based model.

This story is truly an extraordinary example of love and solidarity within the ordinals community.
About a month ago, a passionate and devoted owner of Dogepunks made an incredible mistake, suddenly losing around 30 of his beloved Dogepunks from his wallet. This community member, known as @Dogehunter420, had always supported and collected these adorable doggos, acquiring them on the secondary market with great passion.
The incident seemed to have taken away everything he had built with so much care and dedication. But, as often happens in the most incredible stories, the unexpected occurred: a researcher of gems and rare sats @dannydeezy, using deezy inc’s automated sat tool he found them circulating on Kraken @deezy_inc all of his Dogepunks and returned them to the original owner.
