One could argue why NFTs on bitcoin would be more attractive than anywhere else.
Bitcoin's base-layer security and permanence is an advantages for digital collectibles.
On EVM chains like ETH, a big risk with NFTs often comes from the issuer still controlling the smart contract. With Ordinals there’s no smart contract, so that risk doesn’t exist.

In 2014 XCP itself launched through a Proof-of-Burn mechanism tied directly to Bitcoin: 2,131 BTC was permanently burned in early 2014 (worth $136,773,828 at today's prices) to create the token.
