An insightful speech by the keynote speaker @Nwankpa_A at the #precop29 stakeholders hangout.
The energy transition is a global challenge. Africa's energy future is a marathon, not a sprint. Gas is a stepping stone, but we need to diversify our energy sources.

Goodbye to a giant: a heavy rain took out the giant Ceiba tree at @ArintaWaterfall last weekend. Probably the biggest tree in Ekiti State, now a fallen giant.
The last photo captures the tree in its peak days.

Beyond the exciting confirmation that these leopards are in the park, their presence indicates that GGNP has large enough prey populations to support these predators. It also shows how wildlife populations can bounce back with sufficient protection and community support. – at Poplar, London
