It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Bobby Weir. We send him off the way he sent so many of us on our way: with a farewell that isn’t an ending, but a blessing. A reward for a life worth livin'. bobweir.net/bobby/

Anxiety doesn’t come from simply thinking about the future - it comes from trying to control it.
Let go, and you'll find your power in the present.

In this crazy world of baseball and Mental Performance, it’s nice to come back to the basics and simplicity. No one did basics and simplicity better than @KenRavizza1 🐐 🐐

Klopp is and has always been aware of his energy and ability to be an effective manager.
Did it at Dortmund before Liverpool. Doing it again.
Looking forward to seeing what comes next for him after a break.
He’s certainly deserves it.
Liverpool have been outstanding w him

@DjokerNole with an absolute banger lesson on mental toughness.
Being present isn’t about not being human
1) notice when your 🧠 trails off to the past or future
2) accept that it’s okay
3) bring yourself back to the moment

Yes. And actually the mental health & performance services ARE extended to coaches. The problem is: a) MH/P is grossly understaffed & b) coaches don’t acknowledge they could use the help too.

Fantastic. Unreal. Hard to believe.
Progress isn’t linear folks.
The 🧠 it takes to focus for 3 straight hours is absurd. Just a dominant outing from pitch 1 on.
Human potential never fails.

For those who have not heard: There are NO bad emotions. They are all part of the human condition and they all can help us, even if they aren't always comfortable. Specifically, #anger continues to get a bad rap. So many ways that anger can help us perform, if we #AdjusttheFlame

Your actions & behaviors are driven by how you think. What kinds of seeds are you planting? Are you tending to your mind garden & pulling the weeds as they pop up (bc they will!)?

Explain coaching to those being coached.
We assume our players understand coaching with the same depth & sophistication as we do, which is a mistake.
You can educate and invite conversation by explaining it to them in advance — like what you find to be reasonable expectations.
