Just wow!
“İngiliz progresif rock grubu Jethro Tull’un 1969 yılında Fransız televizyon programı “La Joconde” için gerçekleştirdiği “Bourée” performansı, rock tarihi ve televizyon performansları açısından ikonik bir kültürel simge olarak kabul ediliyor.
Performansta, Johann Sebastian Bach'ın lavta için yazdığı “Bourrée in E minor” eseri; progresif rock, caz dinamikleri ve barok kontrpuanın harmanlandığı caz tınılı dinamik bir enstrümantal rock parçasına dönüştürülmüş.”
Klasik müzik for ever :)

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Syd Barrett sitting on the floor in a paisley shirt, curls wild, looking off to one side.
Syd was the spark that started Pink Floyd. He came down to London from Cambridge, named the band after two Carolina bluesmen, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, and wrote their first hit singles, Arnold Layne and See Emily Play. Almost all of their 1967 debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, came from him.
By early 1968 he had stepped away from the band, and after two solo albums in 1970 he gradually withdrew from music altogether. He went back to Cambridge and lived quietly there for the rest of his life, painting and gardening, until he passed away in July 2006 at 60.
The band never forgot him. Wish You Were Here and Shine On You Crazy Diamond were written with Syd in mind.
🎸 Syd named the band after two bluesmen, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. Which Syd-era song is your favorite? 🎸
Halloween CamRideHome, this Friday 6pm from The Mill. A spooky ride for all who are fit, able and have the bottle to tackle the darker side of Cambridge in the dark!
If we make it, we’ll retire to The Castle for sustenance.

Garry Kasparov is important, and he is brave, and he is invaluable. He has used his fame and influence in the chess world to promote freedom, democracy, and human rights. Naturally, he is in the Kremlin's crosshairs. God bless this man and his fellow dissidents.
For 20 years of fighting Putin's bloody dictatorship I've been asked if I was worried about my safety. I used to joke, "Would that help?" Now there are indictments over a Russian assassination plot on US soil. My Next Move on the shocking news: thenextmove.org/p/new-detail…
I don’t think I have ever been happier than being attacked by a President of America for writing a book on building a house over fifty years in Provence. I’m still giggling. WTF, ha ha. Goodnight everybody. Life is truly absurd.

🇺🇸What MAGA Will Be Remembered For
Russia has just put a missile into the National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv, a building full of researchers rather than soldiers, while crews still dig through the rubble for anyone trapped inside. The same day brought strikes on a pharmaceutical company, on petrol stations, on a business centre in Dnipro and on civilian infrastructure across the country. People died. That is what a peaceful neighbour gets from Moscow on an ordinary Monday.
And while it happens, the world sees an American movement siding with the enemy of the West. MAGA, too frightened of Putin to stand up to him, told Ukraine to do the cowardly thing on its behalf: lie down, hand over the land, and leave the wives, the children and the men to Moscow. That is not a small thing, and it is nothing to be proud of. It is the entry MAGA has written for itself in the record, and it will not be edited later.
Normal America, the part that still believes in allies and decency, will spend years explaining that Trump's failed regime never spoke for it. MAGA will have no such excuse. History will file it under the worst thing the United States ever served the world.
A Russian strike against the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. A rescue operation is underway: crews are putting out the fire and searching for people who may have been trapped inside. All services are deployed. Today in Kyiv, a pharmaceutical company and gas stations were also attacked; in Dnipro, a business center; and in other cities and regions, civilian facilities, businesses, and communications infrastructure were targeted as well. Sadly, people have been killed… My condolences to their families and loved ones. Russia will definitely face a response to this. And every one of Ukraine’s partners must see from this terror, from these strikes, that supporting Ukraine means truly supporting people’s lives – supporting the principle that terror must never be normalized, anywhere. Russia must be held accountable for all of this and face real consequences. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine!

A remarkable man, a priest within the church of england, once gave me this advice:
There is a law: light drives out the dark.
Do not concern yourself with driving out the dark: concern yourself with bringing in the light.
