It’s like a short episode of Clarkson’s Farm, fun but serious underneath and highly revealing.

Great thread!!
Martin Lewis has asked the public for simple, inexpensive and broadly uncontroversial changes that could make Britain work a little better.
What better place to start than with putting an end to street scars?
We can hold utility companies to account for scarring our streets with just a few changes to legislation that will:
🚧Make them put pavements back exactly as they found them and increase the fines for failing to do so.
🚧Require them to pay the full cost of restoring damaged pavements to the original standard.

This is an example of what most RNLI lifeboat stations do. We don’t want to throw this service out with any bathwater.

‼️Serious danger zone entered. ‼️
A 6-7% yield on 30-year gilts is cited as the primary danger threshold for sparking a structural crisis across the financial system and real economy.
When ‘risk-free’ yields reach this zone, the mathematical foundations that support the pricing of stocks, properties, corporate debt, and government spending break down.
Very very worrying.

‼️781 MIGRANTS LANDED ON KENT SHORES YESTERDAY‼️
I asked Grok to put it into perspective for us all.
781 migrants on the shore of Kent ….. the record single-day arrival of small-boat migrants! Seven hundred and eighty-one people reached Kent on Wednesday, the highest for any day this year.
Take a look at this for one days work!
The government must be so happy and pleased with themselves.
🚨Their replacement REALITY on steroids !!! 🚨

EXCLUSIVE footage. Unbelievable scene. Coaches that were planned for migrants to get on in Gosport being escorted from Hampshire by a larger motorcade than what the prime minister or king would get.
This has to be seen to be believed. The money spent 🤯

She looks amazing. Her form is strong and beautifully feminine. The application of colour is fantastic. She makes the whole square better aesthetically. Also, she’s a modern everyperson contrast to the great but drab empire guys around her.
Mate of mine built his steel trawler on that very quayside only for the government to pay him (20 years ago) to cut it up with a gas axe and 'decommission it'. In effect, to put him out of business.⚓️💙😉
Replying to @sandieshoes
In the 1970s, my local harbour had a full fishing fleet. It’s nearly all gone, perhaps a dozen day boats remain. Were the government to ever deliver a ‘full Brexit’, including sovereignty over our fish stock, I don’t think the fleet would recover. The industry has been killed. Iceland just avoided that fate.

There's been a lot of talk about Labour MPs sending their children to private schools after they successfully shut down over 100 in the last 2 yrs. But what about the cabinet ministers who benefited from private school education? Our Ang has the details:

Please help me keep my TD5 Defender on the road but this will be relevant to a lot of older cars!! ‼️IMPORTANT‼️ *Please Share.*
So the government is going to try and effectively remove old vehicles from the road.
They've created a sneaky consultation on this huge change with an end date of only the 6th of September.
They want to have a yearly emissions check on every car and motorcycle on the road AS WELL as your mot.
If you pass the mot but then go to your emissions check, if the vehicle doesn't emit exactly the same emissions as when it was built the car will be banned from any use on the road even if it passed its mot emissions.
‼️ This will effectively destroy cars for those of us who love older cars, as well as those who simply can’t afford a newer car. Also car tuning and modifications will be forced to stop you been able to drive your car.‼️
This is targeting all vehicle, cars, motorbikes, trikes, kit cars etc.
So far they are just targeting cars after 2001 but they want to use it on every vehicle on the road targeting mot & tax exempt (historic) vehicles.
They've purposely not given this consultation much time, so please go to the bottom of this page, click this link: smartsurvey.co.uk/s/x-QHYJB7… and click *DISAGREE* and tell them you do not want any of this from the government and share the consultation for others to do the same.
Only way to stop this would be to get the results of this consultation to be a resounding NO (DISAGREE)!

‼️ Sorry, but I am absolutely not having this. Here's the truth.
Since Labour came to power promising a reduction of £300 off energy bills, they've actually increased by over £367.
Their new bollocks idea is that YOU spend another approx £1,199 to buy a plug in solar kit to save, by their own figures, “up to £110 a year.” taking you 11 YEARS to break even!
So, in the first year, in order for you to have a NET LOSS of £1,456... You have to buy a solar panel kit manufactured using materials from global supply chains which can't be verified as free from forced labour, with much of the processing and manufacturing powered by coal in CHINA before components and products are shipped thousands of miles to the UK.
The price doesn't include battery storage either, which means electricity you generate but don't use goes back to the grid and, in most cases, you won't be paid for it.
And the government calls this “saving families money” while telling us it's saving the planet.
Utter bollocks. If a private company marketed this as “saving you money”, Trading Standards would be all over it.

Five hundred goats saved the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and they charged a thousand dollars an acre, which is the best value the American taxpayer has had in a generation.
Simi Valley, California. Every spring the library and the Ventura County Fire Department hire a herd to eat the hillside. In May 2019 the contract went to a firm called 805 Goats, run by Scott Morris and his wife, and the animals went up to clear thirteen acres of chaparral.
They were moved round the slope in shifts behind a bit of electric netting and they took it to the dirt. Nothing was left standing that could be persuaded to burn. The Morris children name the herd, which is why the strategic fire defence of a presidential archive was executed by animals called Vincent Van Goat, Goatzart and Selena Goatmez.
None of them were briefed. Goats do not require a briefing. Put a goat on a hillside covered in flammable woody scrub and it forms its own view of the situation, usually from the top of something it should not be on top of, chewing, watching you.
The arrangement predates that herd. Ventura County Fire has been sending goats up there since 2012, when J.O. Goat Co of Bakersfield delivered 900 of them, and the annual tender is now competitive, which is a sentence about goats.
In October the Easy Fire came over the ridge and went at the complex. It split and burned round both sides. Flames got within thirty yards of the buildings. Seven hundred personnel were on it, aircraft were dropping water, and what bought them the time was a belt of ground where five hundred goats had eaten the fire's supper in May.
The buildings the fire never reached contained Air Force One and a section of the Berlin Wall.
A library spokeswoman said the firefighters told them afterwards that the break made their job easier. Scorched outside. Untouched within.
Fire needs fuel. Goats climb what a mower cannot reach and a tractor cannot hold, they carry no spark, they need no diesel, and they leave the ground dunged rather than scraped. The oldest fuel management system on earth, and California pays the market rate because nothing else works up there.
Which sits oddly beside the other thing California holds to be true, that ruminant livestock is a climate liability requiring reduction.
Same animal. Same gut. Same gas.
Hired by the fire department in May, indicted by the air resources board in June, back up the hill the following spring, and never once mentioned it.
Do you agree @JamesFarqu - I keep looking out of my window but the tides are no higher (or lower) than when I was born 70+ years ago?
From a Mr Robert Watkins on Facebook - “To introduce myself, I’m now retired but in the 80s, did a Geography degree and studied the Quaternary period, particularly the climate and its changes over the past 2.5 million years with the alternating glacial and interglacial cycles. Included in this gaining an understanding of the forces that contribute to these climate cycles, all of which are much greater in their influence than those seen as contributing to anthropogenic change. In fact the effects of man on the environment that could cause climatic change are microscopic in comparison.
The modern concept of “climate change” is a left wing/Marxist ideological construct to change society and enforce control. Sadly, much of the media is part of the conspiracy and there are a lot of gullible people who need to be told what to think and lack the ability to research and think rationally.
Net Zero is part of this attempt to influence behaviours, exerting political and economic pressure on the population to achieve the changes.
We need to fight this evil and educate people that climate is changing as it has done since the beginning of the planet and any changes that we make as a nation, will have no effect. It is in fact just “pissing in the wind””

Schaut euch an, was in den Niederlanden passiert.
