A reminder that nothing from Friday the 13th has reviewed well!! Judge for yourselves.
Crystal Lake may be divisive among some fans for how it ties together various elements of Friday the 13th canon, but it all comes together well in the end.
Our review: bit.ly/4yiltY8
ALT Crystal Lake review: Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane imparts a thorough knowledge of the original source material to the eight-part series, while also having an eye to what a show like this needs to do beyond just giving us compelling characters; namely, he knows we need to see some really fun and gory kills. Score: 8
Told you guys around a month ago that October was the date to watch for!! ๐คฃ
If what Iโm hearing is true, SCREAM fans might want to keep their notifications on. Something #Scream8 could be coming VERY soon. As in, this month. Emphasis on IF. ๐ช๐

I feel like people talk about 4 this way because it had the weakest box office. Courteney Cox also bashed 4 a few years back, but with no real reason. Arguably, Scream 4โs social commentary has probably aged the best out of the whole franchise imo.

SCREAM 7 reflects back the current cultural moment about how the growth of technology has normalized widespread conspiracy theories and parasocial relationships. In this way, SCREAM 7 captures the digital age of 2026.ย
The film explores the hyperactive way conspiracy theories pervade the Internet and seep into reality through the questions about "Stu is Alive." Itโs more accurate to think about Stu plot as more of a commentary on conspiracy theories rather than exclusively AI.
In addition, Jessica as Ghostface and the Fallbrook subplot highlight the role of parasocial relationships in today's media and pop culture landscape.ย
Some have criticized SCREAM 7 for not blending the Stu AI subplot with the finale and reveal that ends up being about parasocial relationships.
However, these two narrative threads are in fact linked in the cultural conversation about the current technological moment: everyone acts parasocially with their heroes, content creators, artists; and conspiracy theories distorting objective facts are promoted in bad faith through the media ecosystem.ย

Neve Campbell turns 53 today โ happy birthday to the greatest final girl in history. Iโm incredibly proud of Neve for bringing us a triumphant acting performance and story about Sidney Prescott at this stage in her life in SCREAM 7.
I canโt wait to see Sidney Evans return and hopefully complete a trilogy with a SCREAM 8 & 9.
Also, this is my single favorite frame of her in any SCREAM film since the original trilogy.
