🚨STARBUCKS SALES SLIDE SLOWING AS TURNAROUND STRATEGY TAKES HOLD
Starbucks reported a smaller-than-expected drop in first-quarter sales, signaling early success in CEO Brian Niccol’s turnaround plan.
Sales fell 4% globally, better than the 4.6% drop analysts expected. In North America, sales dipped 4%, while China saw a 6% decline, improving from 14% last quarter.
Niccol’s strategy includes simpler menus, faster service, and banning non-paying guests from restrooms and seating. Starbucks also pledged no further price hikes in 2025 to stay competitive.
Shares jumped 4% in after-hours trading.
