Lucy Connolly got 31 months for a tweet she later deleted.
This woman gets out in well under a year for helping her son dispose of the knife after he stabbed an 18-year-old student to death. Same country. Same justice system. One crime involved words; the other involved actively covering up a murder. The early-release scheme and remand time make the disparity even starker. If this is “proportionate,” the word has lost all meaning.
🚨 BREAKING: Mother of Henry Nowak’s killer to be released from prison early, less than a year after his murder.
• Kiran Kaur was jailed for three years in July for helping her son, Vickrum Digwa, by removing the murder weapon from the scene.
• Digwa, 23, stabbed 18-year-old Southampton University student Henry Nowak to death on 3 December 2025 as he walked home from a night out.
• Digwa was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 21 years.
• ITV News reports Kaur will serve less than half of her three-year sentence before being released under the Government’s early release scheme.
• Kaur, an Indian migrant, is also eligible for the Government’s deportation scheme, but no decision has been made on whether she will be deported.
• She is appealing her sentence and is due before the Court of Appeal on 5 November, the same day her son’s sentence appeals are scheduled to be heard.
• Kaur’s expected release is around the first anniversary of Henry’s death.
Whole league laughing at us.
Revealed that we can’t even show up against 10 men in a derby.
Seeing fans from all over comment about our bang average league one squad.
How hughes can look himself in the mirror and think he’s doing a good job is beyond me #Pompey

Mousinho has to go now, taken this team as far as he can. Need a manager with experience of managing players, someone more tactically aware. He has no excuses now, spent more than ever and somehow looking even worse than last year. Embarrassed the city today.

Hughes and Mousinho can fuck off now. So pathetic. It was harder to lose that by the way we ended and started the half

Not angry at the players, angry at Mous not having any fucking balls to try and win that

50 minutes against 10 men. Their keeper hasn't had to make a save. Time to go John #pompey
Fucking shit!!! Against 10 men and barely manage a shot on target! Mous needs to fuck off, clueless!

Only in the UK can you be held on remand for throwing a plastic bottle or one count of criminal damage and then released on bail if you’re suspected of planning a terrorist attack
Yeah sound. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Spineless waste of space! Get this idiot out of Portsmouth!
Thank you to HM Coastguard, RNLI crews, Hampshire and Isle of Wight police and all first responders for your work yesterday.
The intimidating and thuggish behaviour seen last night has no place in Portsmouth. The right to peaceful protest is fundamental to our democracy, but it must never cross a line into disorder.
I am continuing to work with the Home Office, local services and my fellow MPs, to support communities today.

🚨NEW: A local Portsmouth grandma has canoed out to protesters in the water who are preventing illegal migrants from being unloaded onto the shores, and has given them supplies

Important to note it's a minutes silence not applause tomorrow.
Will be very poignant #Pompey
The #Pompey family were left devastated by the news that club legend Alan Knight had passed away earlier this week.
Saturday's match at Fratton Park gives us all a chance to pay tribute to someone who served the club with distinction for more than 50 years.
At the request of Alan’s family, a minute’s silence will be observed just prior to kick-off and we would respectfully ask that all supporters are in their seats by 2.55pm.
