The difference is gender affirming care has been covered by Medicaid and ACA subsidized plans for years. a Hyde like amendment banning gender affirming care from being covered by either would be a step backwards from where we already are, it’s unacceptable
leftists will just take any one Democrat that says something they don't like and pretend they represent the totality of the party and criticize every Democrat on that basis.
This is a few people in red states taking a position that that'll never actually get passed in a Democratic majority congress because it will never even come up for a vote.
Bad faith or stupid, it's always so hard to decide which it is.
Why don't you guys focus on persuading voters in red states of your positions and that way Democrats in those states won't have to cater to these views. This position probably has 70% support in Iowa!
