serious question: who can I pay _today_ to do a high resolution face and/or full body scan for future a/vr?

One is _currently_ about replacing labour, ignoring copyright, and making algorithms intractable, the other is _currently_ a tool to enable collaboration, connection, and creativity. Just depends on your perspective.

What an interesting moment.
We're staring at two distinctly different visions of the future. They may co-exist, but they are radically different takes on what's modern, what's current, and where things are headed.
One vision gets the UI out of the way. The other vision is UI everywhere you look.
One vision gets the computer out of the way. The other vision mounts a computer on your face.
One vision is get it and go. One vision is get it and stay.
One vision is about information. The other vision is about immersion.
One vision is natural and understands you. The other vision requires new methods of interaction that you have to learn and master.
One vision feels like an assist. One vision feels like obstruction.
One vision fits with whatever you already have. One vision requires you buy something that fits.
One vision is simply text. One vision is anything but.
One vision feels like before. One vision feels like after. But I'm not sure which is which.
After a year of work, @ecosyste_ms now indexes more packages than @librariesio
It's been a long journey for @teabass and I since our work on Libraries but Ecosystems is already powering the next generation of researchers, policymakers and application developers in open source ✌️
you can read more about ecosystems at blog.ecosyste.ms/ check out the services at ecosyste.ms and check out the source at github.com/ecosyste-ms
We have reached the post-truth singularity, it is no longer possible to tell fact from fiction. God save us.

🎉 Exciting news!
❤️ @SocketSecurity is partnering with the Ecosyste.ms project! Their work already helped us ship Python. Now we want to give back + support shared infrastructure for researchers/policymakers/devs to secure + sustain OSS.

I just donated $800 to cover 1 of 15 scholars!
We're raising $800 per each scholar here (tinyurl.com/wispdefcon2023), who is going to match my donation today??
Check out some stories from our prior @wisporg @defcon scholars here:

Our @defcon scholarship has changed lives, with scholars finding their next job opportunity during their scholarship! If you personally have $800 to donate to cover 1 stipend, please do! If your company can donate to cover 1 scholar that’s awesome! Tinyurl.com/wispdefcon2023
We’re building @remote so people can live better lives, in part by giving them financial stability and safety. We can only do this by building a rock-solid business.
We will run March payroll for all employees where it is impossible for customers to pay us the full amounts owed due to the SVB situation. We’re able to do this, because we have a very healthy balance sheet, a strong network of banking partners, and we’re not directly exposed to SVB.
That means if your employer that is employing you through @remote is not able to pay for March payroll immediately, because they don’t have access to their SVB funds, @remote will still pay your salary.
Capitalism fail.

Silicon Valley bank is under the control of the federal government.
But right before the bank collapsed, the Bank's management team sold most of their stock:
• CEO sold 11% of his stock
• CFO sold 32% of his stock
• CMO sold 28% of her stock
Did they know something?
