Nigerians must be intentional about fighting a tide where each time we suffer any #Flood & its harrowing effect, we just grin & bear it.
#FloodingInNigeria is a seasonal event. #BeforeNextFlood, we must work with govt to put projects & policy in place 2 curb the seasonal monster

Here's one interesting question citizens and Government must answer?
Nigeria and Nigerians cannot continue to be reactionary at all time.
Effective Flood management begins with active preparations.
Hope the #FloodinginNigeria this year marks a seismic shift in the way government and society handle flood-risk potentials #beforeNextflood.
#FloodingInNigeria has killed over 600 persons, displaced 1,427,370 people and injured approximately 2,776 persons. We need to drive a national convention to #EndFloodNG. Let's tweet #EndFloodNG & share pictures/videos of damage for the world to know what's happening in Nigeria
Do you know that Disaster Management is 90% preparations and 10% executions?
How are you prepared to save lives and Livelihood #BeforeNextFlood?
As citizens, we also have responsibilities in fighting #FloodinginNigeria .
Citizens living in the coastal areas cannot afford to look away now.
#BeforeNextflood we need all hands to be on deck!

The Nigerian Government needs to do more.
This is an indictment on Government at every level.

"Nigerians are used to managing. If not, we would have all died. Nigerians care for themselves, we're just like infants with no father or mother."
Our #NigeriaFloods LIVE report on CNN from Yenagoa in Bayelsa state where residents are angry at the government's response

On the flooding in Nigeria, a study I carried out in 2020 revealed that 22,654 sqkm of Nigeria is exposed to high-risk of flooding, 44,923 to medium risk & 5,198 to low flood risk. Yearly floods affect areas within high-risk zones, but the current floods, like that of 2012 ..

Flood broke the road in half in Bayelsa, cutting the access of an inland community (Amassoma) from the state capital (Yenegoa). They get their major supplies from the capital.😩😭... @ChifeDr @firstladyship @ChudeMedia
