I'm as anyone else, but frankly, BioWare brought this on themselves. They hired talentless people, couldn't manage their projects effectively, indulged in wokeness, and now they paid their price.

They are just making it sound like this is the first reveal.
In original lore, the T-16 is from the same manufacturer & very similar to the x-wing. Luke had experience. But it was the use of the force the was responsible for the shot. No one else in an x-wing could have made that shot - only Luke.
