This gets posted by every publication every event so I might as well say it since I’ll get ragebaited eventually.
The only true detractor to a player’s skill is their work ethic & passion in what they do. Not because they’re closing in on 30.
Deft is just coming back from the military and I’m confident will be one of the best ADs because he dedicates his life to the game.
Core, Faker, Rookie & Dhokla are top 4 on this list and possibly every future list we get it. They’ll all go through ruts throughout a year like any player, and will climb out of it because of the time spent at improving, understanding the meta better or their own role on the team.
For some players their interests will change, life forces them to change their priorities, they could have wrist issues or some will genuinely burn out.
We need to stop this obsession with their age and this collective retirement-watch that inevitably impacts the player and how they’re perceived.
Top 5 oldest players at #Worlds2026
🥇 TL CoreJJ 🇰🇷 (32 years and 3 months)
🥈 T1 Faker 🇰🇷 (30 years and 5 months)
🥉 IG Rookie 🇰🇷 (29 years and 7 months)
4️⃣ LYON Dhokla 🇺🇸 (29 years and 2 months)
5️⃣ CFO Kino 🇹🇼 (28 years and 10 months)
Congrats to DSG for holding their LCS spot! Doubt anyone is gonna talk about their initial loss anymore with this performance.
Happy we ran the Oreo Tri-cast again. Never know what the future holds so I'm always thankful to be here and relive a high from my first year on NACL!

Congrats to DSG on their promotion back into the LCS.
My closing thoughts from the Promotion Tournament

With Promo Tourny finals today, we've seen fans wonder what happens with MU if they win.
MU chose to compete as a "free agent team," an option that was created for additional flexibility by not requiring a formal organizations backing to compete i.e. 5 friends and a dream

2023 NACL Summer the 3 of us covered the NACL final between EGC & DSG.
EGC went from 9th to finals with the addition of Srtty to the lineup mid split on a team being coached by ido with Razvan in EG.
DSG won the final and I still give them major credit for coming in that split and helping keep NACL alive.
Today, Srtty & ido with Razvan being added to the team for the event are trying to save DSG’s spot in LCS. They don’t have right of selection game 1 as MU beat them 3-1, which felt closer to a 4-0, in the surprise of the tournament and made league history as the first collegiate team to topple an LCS team in a Riot sanctioned event. They have a chance to make even more history if they qualify into the LCS as a collegiate team. It’s been a team effort but the 2 players with LCS experience in Yuuji and Scary Jerry have been on a mission to not be denied this tournament.
DSG have looked far better the last 2 days after not looking anything like a team vs. MU in the first bout. Should be in for a goody at 4PM PST today, and excited to bring you the action with these 2 today.

And so, our summer split ends.
Recent results do not eclipse the mountain of work we accomplished this split.
From not even having a roster a week before the split, to representing North America at WSCI, beating DK, taking a game off T1.A, and coming within 2 series of making LCS, I could not be more proud of these players and their work ethic.
It has been my pleasure to learn, win, make mistakes, and grow alongside everyone. This split will forever be ingrained in my memory.
W @Horder_NA Your transformation over these past 2 splits is finally getting you the recognition you deserve.
W @MusicJGL You put the league on notice and proved that even 40-year-old players can still be next up.
W @Ablazeolive The accountability king. A great example and leader for the rest of the team, while also 1v9ing so many clutch games.
W @MobilityLoL So glad I finally got the chance to work with you. Very few people have the hunger you do. Herd that twin.
W @breezyyylol You've grown so much more vocal and confident compared to a year ago on SN, and I think this team benefited immensely from it.
W @crank_shank for the drafting and scouting. This was your rookie split in Tier 2, but you gave it your all. I'm glad I got to coach alongside you.
I also need to shout out the outpouring of love we've received. Thank you to all the fans we've made who cheered us on, including those who scuffed their sleep schedules to watch our games in Korea!
W @lolsnowball_ for the social posts, content brainstorming, and video editing.
W @bonchily for being our costreamer throughout WSCI and the promotion tournament.
W @EricItlog for giving us all a chance, flying out to Korea to support us at WSCI, and making sure we were all taken care of.
The goal was always LCS. While this chapter ends here, I hope you'll continue supporting these players as they strive to become the next generation of NA talent.

Lost 0-3 to @Disguised. Idk what happened to us these last 2 series, we were getting early leads through lane / early skirmishes and could never get on the same page about how to progress the game. Really hurts to go out like this knowing what we were capable of, and especially after all the hard work we put in throughout these last few months together. This was the most fun I've had competing with a group so far in my career. Every single day, how hard we all worked and pushed each other while also being great friends outside of the game was truly amazing.
Thank you to everyone who supported us this split. Definitely not the ending I had in mind, but looking forward to what the future brings. ❤️

What a turn around from DSG. Truly an honor to get to cover their run. Revenge speaks for itself, but had to give it some extra juice as they head to Mexico City.
Hope I did it justice!
Thanks for an incredible year to everyone involved with #NACL. See you next year <3
