And how will digital platforms determine whether someone is under the age of 16? Any age assurance mechanism will introduce privacy risks for all users, with no guarantee that children will be any safer
#BREAKING π¨ Anthony Albanese has just announced the government will seek to ban teenagers under the age of 16 from social media
The announcement confirms the exact age restrictions that will be imposed

Hi all. Those who have been keeping tabs on the primary votes counted this week will no doubt be aware that unfortunately, I will not be returning to Council. I would congratulate the winner, but we actually don't know who that is just yet!
But I know that soon I will be able to walk past a new park, or have a conversation with a young game developer who got their break from a grant from Council, and Iβll know that if I hadnβt been here, that might not have happened. Thatβs a good feeling, I think.

Today The Greens announced our plan to get the government back into the business of building homes through the Public Builder.
The public builder is a 100% publicly owned, not-for-profit building company, selling and renting genuinely affordable, well designed homes.
Is there anything more disgusting than the ALP losing government to the hard right, but spending all of their time attacking the Greens over it?
It's really hard to tell whether I should be calling one the Keir Starmer of Australia or the other the Anthony Albanese of the UK.
This is a ridiculous take. My problem is that this man has more power than anyone in the country to change things for the better and he's not.
He's also continuing to pretend that his upbringing is in any way connected to his current insanely wealthy status. It no longer is.

He seems to think that living in public housing was such a bad thing that nobody should ever be offered housing support again.
Replying to @JeremyPoxon
"Do you think [buying a $4.3m property] is still a good look?"
Albanese: "I've been fortunate. But I also know what it's like to struggle. My mum lived in the one public housing that she was born in for all of her 65 years. I know what it's like"
