New lease of life for Mountbatten House
Mountbatten House, a grade II listed building on Basing View known as ‘the hanging gardens of Basingstoke’, will be restored to provide exceptional office space, after Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council sold a new long lease.

ALT An artist's impression of the refurbished gardens, across the four different tiers of the building. There is a large square green space with people and trees on the lowest tier, and the edges of all the tiers of the floors have overflowing green planters along the edge, some with pink flowers. Trees surround the front corner, nearly reaching the bottom tier. There is no green space on the top, but there are glazed areas in the centre of the roof to let light into the building.
