Alberta currently has three major income support programs: Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH), Seniors Benefits, and the Alberta Income Support Program. These programs fall well below the cost of living and do not account for individual needs and circumstances. Many Albertans who require these supports and are not eligible for them. All Albertans are entitled to a reliable, livable income and all Income Support Programs must be increased and indexed to inflation.
