🚨 Our paper on our DrosoPHILA outreach program is out in #eNeuro (eneuro.org/content/early/202…)! Through DrosoPHILA, we work with Philly public high schools to enhance science literacy and engage students with STEM education. Here are key things we learned along the way 🧵:
5 - Making outreach part of your research program sends an important message to trainees about your commitment to promoting accessibility and diversity in science. Plus, trainees will have a chance to experience how outreach influences their own science identity!
