They have no jurisdiction here. This is Palestinian soil. Yet the fascist Israeli occupation invades the West Bank and attacks Al Jazeera's offices. What else can one expect from the number 1 killer of journalists? They want to silence and censor anyone who exposes them.

This story should be getting a lot more attention. Labour took £4,000,000 from a Cayman Islands-registered hedge fund with shares worth hundreds of millions of pounds in fossil fuels, private health firms and arms manufacturers. opendemocracy.net/en/labour-…

This is insane. Labour’s Bridget Phillipson says she took a £14,000 donation, primarily to throw a birthday party. She’s smiling while she divulges this information. I’m genuinely in awe that they don’t appear to see how bad this looks.

Wow, she actually uses one of her children as a human shield to justify accepting expensive Taylor Swift tickets she could have easily afforded on a salary beyond the dreams of most of her voters. Do this government not know how they come across to most people?

Now it's Richard Barnard (of the stalwart @Pal_action), following Sara Wilkinson (@swilkinsonbc), Richard Medhurst (@richimedhurst) and (@CraigMurrayOrg). All disgracefully targeted by Counter Terrorism police for their opposition to genocide, which as we all know, the British state materially and ideologically supports. All of the recent arrests/charges are under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act in which it is an offence to voice opinions which the state claims either "invites support" or "expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive of" a "proscribed organisation". (See below). Remember that the British state maintains a list of those groups which it "proscribes". It can be found at the link below. Note, it does not necessarily include all those groups you might think. For example the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is not a proscribed group, as is tacitly admitted here in the listing on the PFLP-GC (a separate group): Of course if the British state was interested in ending the genocide it would devote considerable diplomatic effort to: 1. Pressuring the genocidal Zionist regime to desist, including by stopping all arms, aid, intelligence assistance and training of, and support for, the genocidal occupation forces; 2.Engaging seriously with the Palestinian resistance, something which is made much more difficult by the fact that many of the resistance factions are proscribed under UK law. A first step to engaging in this process ought to be to lift the proscription of the following Palestinian (and Lebanese) factions: *Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah (Hamas) – Proscription extended November 2021 *Hizballah (Party of God) - Proscribed March 2019 *Palestinian Islamic Jihad - Shaqaqi (PIJ) - Proscribed March 2001 *Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) - Proscribed June 2014 #DismantleZionism gov.uk/government/publicatio…

BOOM! Judge resisted desperate efforts by Defendants legal team to have the case thrown out. The case will go to Crown Court in Reading on 1st October 2024 for the next step in proceedings. Anthony Bates was forced to stand in the dock and provide a plea to each of the various charges of criminality. He pled not guilty to all charges but is on bail until the October hearing. Big step forward! @TransparencyTF @APPGbanking @APPGInvestFraud @Ian_Fraser @jameshurley @andyverity @CarshaltonArt @mickmor16921994
En route to Highbury Corner Magistrates Court for the start of what could be one of the most significant Private Criminal Prosecutions in UK corporate history and potentially for every SME victims of RBS GRG, Lloyds BSU, Barclays BSU et al. The fact that the Defendants are being represented by Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) perhaps tells you all you need to know as to that significance. I am unsure how HSF can represent these defendants given the Defendants are accused of criminal conduct that lead to the collapse of a company and wipeout of its shareholders that was represented by HSF……… With the banks and the FCA continuing to bury the widespread frauds by GRG, BSU et al, with justice via civil litigation continuing to be prevented by further fraud and perjury and with Lloyds almost inevitably bound to bury the various and widespread criminality in Lloyds BSU discovered by Dame Linda Dobbs, Private Criminal Prosecutions are likely the best and only means of securing justice and eventual remedy. This case therefore could plough the furrow down which thousands more could follow. Hence its significance. It’s also the case, in my opinion, that is a key reason so much of the aforementioned conduct has been buried. Bob Wigley was Chair of this company when the conduct in question occurred. Wigley is the current Chair of UK Finance the utterly repugnant bank trade body, was a member of the Bank of England Money Markets committee during the infamous LIBOR lowballing scandal and was at various times the appointed ‘Ambassador’ of the FCA and David Cameron’s Government for UK financial services. I make no representation here other than to say Wigley was Chair of the company at the time. Established fact. However, the fact we don’t know more about what happened is rather the concern, and there are certainly parties within the Government, FSA/FCA and other bodies within the hierarchy of oversight who would rather not know what went on. When conflicts exist, better not to look so that you don’t have the opportunity to discover. @TransparencyTF @APPGbanking @APPGInvestFraud @AWhistleblowing @Ian_Fraser @jameshurley @andyverity @mickmor16921994 @CarshaltonArt @stevemiddi1 #hibu #yellowpages
