Passed 417-3 in the House. Senate Democrats kill it with a filibuster.
Senate Democrats on Wednesday blocked a GOP-led effort to advance a bill aimed at shielding Americans from energy costs attributed to data centers, despite the bill securing widespread bipartisan support in the House earlier this month. cbsn.ws/46TxXdC

No it’s just quite literally the most basic of education. We’re talking about 8th grade level here.

We could debate the actual communism in the Democrat party. As a business owner that deals with many sectors of the economy, including import/export, I’d be happy to educate you.

Sure and he was wrong but only because the EU wants the war and the dying to continue because the money they are producing for their owners and because it hurts trump. Trump had a deal early and the UK shut it down.

Everything has been will be overturned and never had a chance to stick in the first place. Only the extremely dense ever thought otherwise

Sure the chart is real but your conclusion is wrong. Data centers are not a sideshow hiding a hollow economy. They are the capex of the most important technology race of the century. Yes, the AI wave started before 2025. So did the internet in the 1990s. Policy still decides whether the capital stays here, gets permitted here, gets powered here, and gets written off here. Full expensing is not “taxing data centers.” It is the opposite: it is the tax code telling firms to build now instead of waiting. Permitting reform and energy policy are what turn a private investment cycle into American capacity. Look past one construction subcategory. Private-sector job creation, real wages for the bottom quartile, energy production, and business investment in equipment and IP are not a data-center optical illusion. Construction of this kind also feeds the trades now and manufacturing later. That is the point of a capex cycle: you pour concrete and steel first, then you get the productivity.
