Residents of Barton Hill aren’t only 'feeling betrayed' on LN plan but also feel that the #Bristol Green administration by design prolonged the trial so that many residents feel tired to continue protesting against an admin that isn’t willing to listen. bristolpost.co.uk/news/news-…

Leading Camden. Lord Mayor of Bristol. A 19-year-old independent, to mention a few. Somali heritage isn't just about showing up—it's about leading. Resilience personified.

More than a month without rubbish collection on Gregory Street BS5, yet £9m is spent on road closures. Barton Hill deserves basic services and clean streets. @BristolCouncil @YassinMohamud20 @ShonaJemphrey @KerryMP

New episode!
Bristol has a new Lord Mayor.
The first Somali to do so in the city.
I have a long form chat with Yassin - Green Party councillor for Lawrence Hill. thebristolcable.org/2026/05/…
What a historic day was yesterday.
@YassinMohamud20 became the first Somali refugee elected to become the Lord Mayor of Bristol.
On behalf of Somali community in Bristol, we would like to congratulate and hope him a very successful year for his new role.
He came to Bristol 20 years ago to join his family in the city.
Yassin worked first as a volunteer before getting a degree at the University of Plymouth - going on to be a Green councillor for Lawrence Hill ➡️ bbc.in/3PjyKPM

EXCLUSIVE: The South Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood plan is ‘based on a big lie’ say those who’ve analysed the data (or lack of it). A deep dive into the controversy here 👇🏼
bristolpost.co.uk/news/brist…
With all due respect, @LabourBristol started this controversial scheme and bushed it through be4 they’re booted out from the office. However, #Labour is right to ask the pause of this scheme.
Residents support a plan to scrap the scheme completely. bristol247.com/news-and-feat…

“There were 243 objections to their proposal to change it and 23 in support, the community want this gone altogether,” added Melissa Topping. “It’s built on lies and fabricated data.” @BristolLive

The Greens are getting an easy ride from the press. An administration this incompetent should be shredded by the press.

Lawrence Hill Neighbourhood Forum has put out its own survey:
docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F…
Improve - 12
Keep as is - 33
Remove- 278
With 219 respondents living in scheme area and 103 outside but affected.
@melimoonshine @samirabhac
The survey is supposedly about deciding whether to keep the "trial" #EBLN shceme.
At no point does it ask residents, "Do you like the scheme?" or "Do you want to keep it?".
They obviously don't want to hear the answers.
bristolpost.co.uk/news/brist…
Just watch👇🏻.Lie lie lie. @bristolgreen administration can try to take more time to see better results of the scheme but the reality is,no good results will ever come out of it. Hope they accept the undeniable truth of EBLN. It isn’t good 4 nobody. youtu.be/tBT6_Ix6RJE
Would @bristolgreen administration ever listen to the plea of local people????
Labour say negatives of East Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood outweigh positives bristol247.com/news-and-feat…
The current @LabourBristol seems way different than the previous one. Barton Hill residents welcome your statement and we hope that @bristolgreen do change their attitude towards those who are genuinely opposing the EBLN scheme.
