BRC20 creator @domodata and lead maintainers @bestinslotxyz @unisat_wallet will discuss their recently proposed “Swap Module” for BRC20 with the community this Thursday.
This proposal enables the creation of liquidity pools within the BRC20 standard. Come ask your questions live and review their open source code proposal in comments below.

A new era for BRC20 and Layer1.foundation
The Layer 1 Foundation (L1F), founded by BRC20 Creator @domodata and friends, is excited to announce its organization of a new BRC20 governance structure—including the appointment of several leading BRC20 indexers as collaborators.
Over the past months, it’s become clear that designing a governance structure for BRC20 that is transparent—and protects users first and foremost—will be crucial to the future growth and reliability of this protocol.
We understand that designing fair and resilient governance structures for index-based protocols—that are not connected to blockchain consensus mechanisms—is a difficult task and will have baked-in imperfections.
Nonetheless, L1F believes in the future of BRC20; is committed to best practices for user safety; and is committed to the advocacy of decentralized governance wherever possible.
In this effort, L1F has established a governance resolution and standards of procedure for BRC20 development—and has asked several leading indexers and BRC20 stakeholders to publicly commit to upholding these principles.
We are excited to announce the following partners in this effort—including @hirosystems, @ALEXLabBTC, @OylDynamics, @AlliumLabs, and @UTXOmgmt—as well as the appointment of @unisat_wallet and @bestinslotxyz as co-lead maintainers of the BRC20 protocol going forward.
In addition to its support of BRC20, L1F aims to provide public tooling, educational resources and an open discourse forum for open-source developers building metaprotocols of all kinds on Bitcoin.
We imagine the realization of a decentralized economy on Bitcoin—and will support that vision through non-profit advocacy of open-source development and education in this arena.

The #BTCFi market is growing fast
The next big update in the narrative could be something acting as a bridge between $ETH DeFi and BTCFi
Something like BRC20 indexes being built by @BRC_Standard $BRCS
$BRCS has a user-friendly UX of buying/minting Indexes to be exposed to the BRC20 narrative as a whole
You can either directly swap your $ETH or $USDC into the indexes, or mint them with the underlying tokens
Same way when exiting, you can sell back into $ETH or redeem the index getting back the underlying assets
The first index going live on $BRCS is $MEI
$MEI is built by $MUBI, $BSSB, and $TURT, some of the OG blue chips of BRC20 tokens
The $BRCS token will serve as the governance token for the project
And it will accrue bribes from Governance Wars
Governance will decide what the new Indexes will be formed by, and projects can bribe $BRCS holders with incentives to have their tokens be in an index (more liquidity)
$BRCS simplifies the entry to the BTCFi ecosystem with one-click strategies for exposure

In governance wars, entities may accumulate significant amount of $BRCS to sway decisions, especially regarding indexes' token inclusions or allocation changes.
These 'wars' will cause fluctuations in token value, creating opportunities for token holders.
