I think this is where I'm stuck. right here. Don't EVER question the literal fact that black women have to work 5x as hard ever again. This is sick.
Someone who worked in all 3 branches of government is losing to a reality tv host.

Part of the problem is white women think this is the answer when you have no chance at persuading anyone you’re not in the room with. From this election, it looks like support of Trump increased amongst that particular demographic.

SOMETHING. IS. NOT. RIGHT. These results are more than just counter-intuitive. They are insane. They don’t align with a single thing we actually saw on the ground.

Elections have consequences. The Supreme Court will be changed for a generation. I’ll never see a moderate court again in my lifetime. Alito and Thomas will step down and Trump will appoint 40 year old partisans to the bench. The damage he is about to inflict on our institutions the next 2 years will be irreparable.

Sonya Massey should be alive today. We are thinking of Sonya & the unfortunate sisterhood of Black women & gender-expansive ppl who have been killed by police. Our sisters will not be forgotten, & no form of police violence against Black women & girls will be ignored #SayHerName

Sonya Massey’s family says she is a descendant of William Donnegan, who was lynched by a white mob during violent racist attacks that led to the creation of the NAACP. Massey was taken to the same hospital as her ancestor Donnegan, the family said theguardian.com/us-news/arti…

first words Sonya Massey said at her front door were “don’t hurt me” she was told “why would we hurt you, you called us” when have those words meant anything when your black and woman in this country when do those words protect you from not being murdered in your kitchen, in your bedroom, with your babies, or on your lawn what is “reassurance”, in this place ? rest in power Sonya Massey, and an abundance of love and power to Sonya’s family on this journey

Yesterday at the People's Circle for Palestine at @UofT, a woman carrying an Israeli flag pulled out a knife as someone tried to stop her from ripping down banners from the fence As far as witnesses saw, police did not arrest her, take her knife, or trespass her from the space

We have become so comfortable with poverty, with Black folks in distress; that when a Black person says I have no water or food- no one thinks- “lets get him some water and food.” No, instead someone thinks- lets put him in a chokehold.
